These people keep calling and asking for my daughter who does not live here and has not lived here for over 3 years. I told them that and asked them to stop calling. She said she would not untill I give her a new number.

We got a call from this number too. the caller left a message and said her name was Robin.
There was no mention of the company but when I called back, their answering machine said "you have reached after hours answering service of UCB Incorporated".

Yup...they call and call and leave a message for Mary.  I finally called them and told them to stop calling.  They asked twice if I knew because this was the number she gave them.  I told them I did not and I asked them never to call here again.

They are a collection agency.  Quite cranky collection agency by the way.

Well they called again today.  I told the receptionist not to call anymore or I would report them to the do not call registry, of which I have already signed up for.  She told me not to threaten her, so I gave her a very choice comment and hung up.  She called me back and screamed that I needed to have Mary Duffy call her.  I provided her with some more very choice comments and again hung up.  I then reported them to the do not call registry.

And, they just called again a few minutes ago.  Chris said she has spoken to Mary at this number before.  I asked for her home phone number so that I could call her tonight.  The number she gave me is not listed.

We get calls from this number every day at our business asking for someone we have never heard of. I am going to report them to the FCC and the FTC because they refuse to stop calling our business. I don't like that we have to pay our receptionist to take calls from a company we have no business with.

Call and ask for Harold "Sam" Rickard – Owner and Chairman if you are not satified with answers from the reps or ask the rep for Sam's number.

Notes:
Verizon Wireless uses UCB for collections. They are relentless. They will call your cell # and your home # until they are satisfied with the results.  

They will not or care not to discuss payment directly to verizon wireless. I found this out after I had my account transfered to my ex's name(which they glad to do without even a lick of personal information from me!) Verizon did not notify me of a current balance due at the time of switching account ownership. Calls to Verizon to resolve issue vary from absolutly no knowledge to some concern. Push up through the UCB management chain to reolve issue fully. Be a pain and do not relent util you get an answer from someone who knows what they are doing at UCB/Verizon Wireless!

With the rampant use of number portability and changing of cell phone numbers you may be getting calls that are not directly related to you. Pump them for all personal information of the party they are caling about and be carefull not to disclose any personal information at all.

This is UCB, a collection agency for Verizon.  These lowlife sleazeballs have started calling my work leaving messages for me with my co-workers b/c I refuse to speak with them.  They are not in the least bit friendly.  I work in retail and have told them I could not have personal calls.  A co-worker called me today, my off day, to give me their message.  I could tell she felt uneasy doing this.  I asked her if they said anything else and she said they did not, although it seemed as if she knew a little more than she was letting on but was embarrassed for me.  

I will be sending them a cease and desist letter tomorrow and in the mean time, there is no law saying I have to speak to them by phone.  I will pay what I owe to Verizon and not UCB, no matter how much hardball they play.

They called my work and left a message with a co-worker.  I don't know how they got this number either- they probably called another office of mine and they gave them this one.  But, my question is, if we ask them to not call us at work- are they supposed to stop?

Dang skippy they're supposed to stop calling your work if you tell them to!  You tell them you will call them back (but don't) when you're on break or off work, but that they can't call you to discuss personal business while you're at work.

UBC calling me on a google voice number that I have on a resume i foolishly posted in response to a craigslist ad for employment.  i bet they are mining data this way (false ads for employment) Funny thing to be trying to collect from those of us out of work.  on the upside google voice will let me set the number to always go to VM and never ring my phone.

report them and block the number...the scream and yell and do not tell you for sure what they are calling about.

call your phone co. and block the number. if you do ow a debt speak to that company and make arrangements...these people are dirtbags

its about your verizon bill..i paid them and they didnt have the record...i would not deal with these people if you own verizon money just make arrangements with them directly...not these 3rd party idiots

Ask for my Grandson by Name. And ask if he was home and I said no they ask for him to call them back. Watch out for these people

dont want calls from this number? ...pay your bills.
