This company is called Value Added Communications. They provide phone service for inmates and if an inmate is calling you collect this number will show up on your caller ID. If you are not able to receive the collect call, the automated instructions will let you know how to set up a prepaid account.

This company is ridiculous. The first time they called I tried to set up an account and they hung up on me. I set up an account online and then wrote to my friend and told him to call again. They called again today and said that there were insufficient funds and disconnected. I set money up online and they charged 7.95 just to take a credit card payment. They could make this more user friendly; they would have a lot more money from me by now.

this is a hard one cause even if you have some money on the account it will say that you don't have enough.  Go to MyVConnect.com to set up your account.  Minimum deposit of 25.00 is required.  The charge 7.95 every time you add money to this account.

just wondering who is trying to reach me from this number

I received a call and listened to your recording today and after hanging up I can not verify if it was regarding one of my two sons who are out of state.  The name of the County Jail and Name of Inmate was totally in-audible.  I'm worried and also concerned that this might be a wrong number dialed by an 'inmate' who isn't 'mine.'  I would gladly set up an account but I need to verify the name as one of my sons or if the call is bogus/spam.

PLEASE HELP me this matter so I can confirm that it is or isn't one of my sons calling.  I haven't heard from either of them which is another reason for my grave concern.
