I received a call yesterday from a woman claiming she was calling from Chase Auto Loans. She asked to speak to my husband (loan is in his name, however, my husband added me to the account as an authorized third party). I told her I was on the account but she said there was no record of this. She called again this evening (8:01p). We went through the same thing again. I called Chase at the number on our account, who told me there was no reason anyone should be calling us. I gave him the phone number they called from and apparently they are going to check things out. I'm just waiting for another call.
No new news here......... It's a marketing call from Chase. Answer the call and request they never call your number again. They have to remove you from their call list. At the same time file a complaint with the National Do Not Call Registry!
I called Chase Banks Fraud department it is a valid Chase number. They said call their do not call list it is 1-800-945-9470... stay on line until you get a conformation number. It will take 30 days
I get a call from this number at least once a day. I don't answer it, and they don't leave a message. My number is on the DO NOT CALL list though. It is really annoying.
The above information was correct and very helpful! We have been getting calls from 800-933-6004 for some time and could not get any information. We knew it was probably automated and we were starting to get calls with no message left from this number. I used the Do Not Call number 1-800-945-9470 for that department and will see if in 30 days they desist in bugging us!! I wish I knew how the person who posted here got THAT number! But I give a big thanks!!!
An Indian sounding woman asked for me by name and gave me a spiel about a new Chase business credit card. I told her that I was flat broke and they wouldn't issue me a card if I wanted one. I asked that I be taken off their calling list and she said that the request could take up to 30 days and I may still get some calls from Chase during that time. She politely apologized for bothering me and thanked me for my time.
This 800-933-6004 nuisance has been calling my phone night and day for a month. I have finally wised up and blocked their call. Cable and privitized phone companies have a service called call screening. For cable company customers lift receiver, get a dial tone, dial *60. This enables the caller screening. Use voice prompt 2. Enter the number that you want blocked (in this case it would NOT work if I added a 1 prefix) After entering 800-933-6004 hit the # key. You will NOT receive any more phone calls from that number. Contact your phone service for your call screening code if *60 doesn't work for your service. This service works for any number that you do not want to call your house. The caller will hear that the number they dialed (your number) is not accepting calls at this time. Let them keep trying. Maybe if we all block them they'll eventually get the hint.
I get a call once a day. Don't answer when I see the caller ID. They don't leave a message. I'd love to try the *60 but I'll bet Verizon charges me for that, no? They love to add charges to your phone bill!
We got this call today, and let the guy go through his whole schtick, to find out how much he knew about us. The facts: 1) He said he was from Chase and wanted to offer some kind of fraud prevention service; 2) He spoke very unclearly, and rambled on for a very long time in a confusing manner; 3) He claimed he would be mailing us information, although at another point in the call he said the program was "so new" there was nothing to mail yet; 4)He knew we had recently opened a Chase VISA card (though this might just be a lucky guess); 5) He knew our home address; 6) He knew our last name, though he had it spelled incorrectly; and 7) He said he would need to confirm the last 4 digits of our card number. I do not know if he had these digits already. When I started challenging him, saying he should know all of this already, he wished me a good day and hung up. This is clearly a scam, in our opinion.
I have reported these morons to the Do Not Call site no less than 20 times since I moved to IL. It's not even close to the amount of times I've received calls either. Maybe three times more where I wasn't on-line or remembered to file a complaint. May I ask, what the hell good does it do to send a complaint? I'm guessing nothing. The DNC list does nothing, talking to the ignorant Chase people do nothing, being rude does nothing, hanging up on them does nothing and not picking up the number does nothing. C'mon. Someone at the DNC.gov offices has to have enough ammo to sue or fine these idiots.
Chase, in both their collection dept and marketing depts, has consistantly violated laws. In marketing there is a do not call from 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. same thing in collections. Last time I checked, in collections they were limited to two contacts in a week, (they don't control their auto dialers, let them re call nums, when they have called all the nums in the cue) and and call perceived by the caller as harassment is a violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, and all you have to do is send that in writing to customer service in writing. The large finance institutions and many of the large American Corp's are shooting themselves in the foot, sending Anerican jobs overseas. They have encountered cultural problems, when a female manager gives orders to a manager in India, but the culture in the foreign countries does not allow the men to take orders from a woman, and the will sabatouge the direction. They are also shooting themselves in the foot, because by sending these jobs overseas, account holders, have never recovered the layoffs, and delinquencies are at an all time high,,,,,,,,,partly because of outsourceing. Greed, selfishness, execs. like to travel, and,,,,,,delnqunt accts!!!!!!! American jobs for Americans. Oh, by the way, Chase is building a new auto finance center in the Philipines, don't be late on a car payment!!!!!! Manilla calling!!!!!!!
I forgot. Don't complain to do not call list. Complain to Attorney General of your state, and Federal trade Commission. Gurantee calls will stop then. Now about that car you were going to finance thru Chase,,,,,,,,,,,,,Try yahoo, or Google search Chase Bank Manilla, or Chase Bank Phillipines!!!
I get a call daily from this number and no one is ever there. I've gotten to the point sometimes I don't even answer. It's annoying to have to deal with this when I'm on the phone with legitimate customers.
well we moved to a new state and so our old home phone is forwarded to my cell for the time being.
I get a lot of weird calls (so glad I am moving and these calls will stop) and ironically they are all for my husband.
We or I mean HE has a chase auto loan but no other account. I do have a chase credit card in my name only. They keep asking him to open up a checking savings or what ever type of account.
I am sure this is chase then that keeps calling.
When our home sale is finalized, we will be paying off the auto loan so they will never get our new number! yay! I just keep telling them that he is no longer at this number. They just keep calling. granted I am profiling here a bit. If a foreign accent and lots of background noise, I give them the run around. Now if I could just get the Republican 527 groups to stop calling us....
It certainly tells me to not do further business with them.
Well these people are calling us and NO we don't have anything to do with Chase. I have been nice telling them that we are on the do not call list. But, they caught me last night in a bad mood and I blew a bull horn in the phone. I hope the person on the other end liked it. Hopefully now the won't call here no more. Yes I also did report them.
I keep getting these calls from 8009336004. If I answer it will say that they are calling from Chase and to please call them back, at another number. I have never had any type of account with Chase and do not wish to have one now or ever. I thought the do not call registry was suppose to stop these telemarketing calls.
I get calls from 1-800-933 6004 constantly on my cellphone. sometimes they speak in Spanish or some other foreign language. This teeds me off because I have a pay-as-you-go phone and it is eating up my minutes. One time they called at 2:30AM! this is ridiculous!!!
I got a call from 800-933-6004 when I had my house phone forwarded to my cell phone, so I don't know which number they actually dialed. In any case, I answered it and they asked for my "EX" husband, whose finances have been completely severed from mine. I said they had wrong # and she (Indian lady) said "thank you" and hung up.
