I never answer the phone for numbers that I don't know or come up as unknown caller (which this call did).  They left a message on my machine.  

John Stocking called from Chrysler Financial trying to reach someone I don't know but is supposedly one of my neighbors.  Wanted me to pass the message along or call him with a correct phone number for the person they were looking for.  

John left the numbers of 1-800-955-9096 ext 5638 or 682-831-5638.

They had my last name.  Odd.  Very odd.  

I don't know this person and if I did I certainly wouldn't get in the middle of it.  What are these companies thinking??

This is just one of MANY calls I have received to my cell phone lately. Just started about a month ago, and I've had about 15-20 calls from unknown numbers, that never leave a message. My phone number is registered on the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY.
