Got a call from someone telling me it is time to renew my Microsoft Windows subscription.

caller states there is a problem with my computer, i told him things are fine here and not to bother calling back.  a few days later he called back again, husband answered and told him something wrong with computer. my husband also told him not to bother calling back. the caller snapped and said that they will discontinue our internet through verizon.  we dont have internet through verizon.....

We received a robot voice message on our answering machine telling us that our Microsoft had expired and we needed to call 800-956-4126. The voice stated it was an emergency and to call the phone number. We have a brand new computer so nothing has expired.

Received call from robocall that my Microsoft license for Windows has expired.  Stated it was an emergency and to call 800-956-4126 because all windows activity has been stopped.

Same thing....my "Microsoft key has expired".  I just hung up. Criminal.

Need to renew license?  I told him he was full of crap & hung up.  He is sae guy who called several months ago telling me my computer had a virus and he needed to fix it.    He's the virus!

Same message - "Microsoft key expired" I do not own anything with Microsoft.  Probably a way for the telephone company to charge more...?

This is a TOTAL Scam, do not call them back, just BLOCK this number on your phone if you can.  Will not give a company name or a website.  Wants you to run "MSCONFIG"

Microsoft Windows keys never expire....... Mac users don't use Windows.... lol bogus fraud caller... block this number do not call back ... Might get a charge from your phone company........

Just received a call saying that my windows account has expired. (I paid for my windows and activated it so my windows service is indefinite) I almost called the number back but better judgment made me search the number instead. Thank goodness I did.

I got the same message about my Microsoft license expired. I do have XP but I didn't know you could even get it renewed. I'm thinking this is spam.

Rec'd a call from800-956-4126 telling me that my Microsoft Windows has expired & to call this number immediately.I also had a pop-up on my computer telling me that I had a virus on my MAC security, Windows SecurityAlert. I don't have windows!! I called Apple Support. I guess this is why we pay our phone & cell bills to get this crap.

I just received an "EMERGENCY" message saying my Microsoft License key had expired.  When I looked up the number, I found all these posts about this call.

SCAM.... falsely claiming to be Microsoft, and notifying you that your Windows key has expired.   I am sure if one called this number back, they would attempt to get money out of you.   Please don't fall for this!

Just trying to figure out how could my "Microsoft" license expired on my Linux computer.  Truly is a mystery to me,  he... he... he...

Received robocall message from this 800 number.  The message states the "license key on Microsoft windows has expired".  This is the third or fourth odd call I've received from various companies and now I always check it out.  So far, a weird call is never legitimate.  Good luck to us all!

The automated voice on my answering machine tells me my Microsoft key has expired, "Emergency you must call 800-9564126 to fix it" I think these may be the people that if you call them back (DON'T DO IT) will ask if you can hear them OK, when you say yes they record the response and use it to say you purchased something and owe them money. Definitely scammers. Don't answer, don't respond!

Mac user here.  Creep claiming to be from "Microsoft Technical Support" announced that my Microsoft License Key had expired and I will lose "all ability to use the internet" unless I follow his directions and pay "around $100"  to renew...
