Someone keeps calling for my brother who died three months ago. They call every day. My sister in law is now afraid to answer her own phone. How can we get them to leave her alone?

I recieved a call from this number and it was from Sony Retail Services (I have a card with them).  Which is owned by the HSBC company.  I was suspious at first because the first call they didn't say they were Sony they just said HSBC so I thought it was for the Visa I have through them.  Once I got off the phone I called HSBC and someone told me that number wasn't one of theirs so then I was transferred to someone else who told me the same thing, once again I was transferred and the guy that I talked to the last time said it was one of theirs and transferred me over.  When they answered they said "Sony".

I recieved four phone calls today all within 10 minutes of each other, but my phone only ran once, and then they hung up?? I know it's HSBC because I have their number on the bill, and my girlfriend has one late payment, but they always call me before they call her, and they never leave a message. this is rediculous.

They kept calling me multiple times per day asking for someone with my same last name whom I never heard of.  I called them back and said it they did not take me off of their call list I was gonna find them and go ape &*% on them, and I meant it.  They said they would take me off of the list.  I'll have to see what happens.

Yeah, I'm late on my credit card. They call several times, everyday for months now, and never leave a message. I sent them a letter saying to only correspond in writing but of course they ignored it when legally they are supposed to stop. I am filing bk soon and then will have an automatic stay so they can't deny they didn't recive my letter. They play dirty!

In regards to the woman whose brother died three months ago. His wife needs to answer the phone. She should not ignore it until she finds out more information or they will keep calling. If he had a credit card and it was only in his name then she may not be liable for it. If that is the case, she will probably need to provide them with a death certificate.

If he had a credit card and it was in both of their names then she is responsible for it and will need to pay it, unfortunately.

This number is for HSBC and often calls me for Best Buy starting the day after if your bill is late. They'll generally call 6-8 times a day, ranging from the morning all the way to late afternoon

"If that is the case, she will probably need to provide them with a death certificate." - Or what?  They'll dig him up and take him to court?

Several calls a day.  I never answer.  I don't owe anyone any money. This is one of about 3 or 4 different calls I get each day that are driving me crazy.

Just started receiving several calls this morning from another number and then several from this number.  I got home from work and started receiving the calls on my cell phone.  I have one CC acct through HSBC via Household Bank and I am not late nor have I ever been late on the bill.  The two times I answered at work, it immediately says "I have an important message for you but all our representatives are busy..."  So why the hell did they call me if they're too damn busy!?  No identification in the initial greeting.  Learned it was HSBC through Google and sites like this.  It started today and I've never before received calls like these.

HSBC has called 7 times today and will not leave a message.  If they won't leave a message how is someone suppose to return their call.  I just found out it was HSBC by googling the phone number.

I wish someone could do something about this.  Talk is cheap, action speaks best.

It is HSBC Calling about a past due Best Buy Account. They are computer generated calls that when you answer go to the next available agent. I have more pity for the agents who then have to answer, more than anything. I can't imagine having a job like that but of course they have a choice.

    FIGHT BACK.
This number alternates with 1-800-365-6538, which has a tape.
The 1-800-959-1373 number answers with a person.
I have no credit or credit cards and never have had any.
These people have rung my phone for three weeks.

    HERE'S HOW TO FIGHT BACK.
I ask everyone with this problem to program the 959 number into your phone...first put *67 for touch tone or 1167 for rotary phone for anonymous calling (that way they won't know who called), and then the 959 number.
Someone answers pretty fast when you call, so there's not much waiting.
Just give them a call ten times a day and don't say anything.
If we all do this, they will have thousands of dead calls coming at them and maybe decide they won't like that (just like we don't like it).

I called the  800-959-1373 after being called by a computer.  Spoke with woman at HSBC.  An account ws errroneously  associated with my phone number.  She removed my number from the system and said that after an overnight system refresh I should not receive any further calls.

Have a best buy credit card, paid up to date, receive 5,6 calls a day from H.S.B.C., A couple times I answered, nobody was on the line.  Will never purchase anything from best buy again, regardless of any sales they may have. They are dealing with a non-american company that has chased Best Buy customers away by their harrasing phone calls that come at any hour of any day. My best buy credit and reward zone cards have been filed in my shreder. Best Buy without doubt rips off their customers. Open your eyes, read the fine print. If you must buy anything at Best Buy which I do not recommend, think twice and use cash.
