- wags| 3 repliesi recieved 3 calls-answered-no one there-whats up???????
- Caller: called -x-mas music
- tired of itcaller doesn't know when to stop. we are not well and do not need this annoying company bugging us.
- bummed| 4 repliesI answered this call because I have been putting in applications for jobs almost literally EVERYWHERE.. Well the call came and it was some lady saying I had applied for her schools website (which I didn't)and proceeded to ask me what kind of classes I wanted to take.
- Shiite| 2 repliesYea, I gave out my number when trying to apply for an office clerk job. There was an ad saying something along the lines of "did you know that you are 80% more likely to land a job if you inform your employer that you are interested in pursuing more education"... Or something to that extent. I did NOT fill out the forms for the classes information but they still managed to get my cell number through the job app that I hoped was legit. I fell for this Career Builder scam yesterday and they called me today on the 800 number posted here.
- deehnthe same thing is happening to me! what can be done about it?
- nash| 2 repliesHave received a call from this number several times. Today it actually left a voice mail that consisted of classical music for 15 seconds, then a hang up. Gee, now I don't need my ipod.
- Caller: unknown
- VickiI answered this call. It was some lady saying I had applied for her schools website (which I didn't)and proceeded to ask me what kind of classes I wanted to take. I screamed at her and humg up. Called them back. They asked for my number wheich they verified and told me my name. Said they would take me off list-we shall see!
- Caller: educational
- NicoleI was called 5 times in an hour which interrupted my classes and a meeting. They kept constantly calling and didn't leave one message. I didn't put my phone on silent since no one calls me during the day unless its an emergency or in this case a telemarketer I called the company back and wasted my minutes listening to classical music for awhile. Someone named Melissa finally answered and said the company was Education Bridge. I asked them to stop calling, but did not give out any information. I registered with the do not call list and I am definately reporting them! I might also call them constantly .
- Caller: Education Bridge
- ShaunCalls me about 4 times a day and into the evening. Never leaves a message and I never pick up (I think I pick up, and they verify the number as active, they will call more, am I right?). Have called now for at least the last ten months. Very annoying. We are on the do not call list.
- Caller: ???
- DeeI have been recieving these calls 5-10 times a day for a couple of weeks now. I too applied for a job on careerbuilder and boy am I mad. I did not sign up for these classes or whatever they are. I have tried calling back but only get voicemail or music. I did report them and hopefully that will work.
- Caller: ???
- Frustrated Job seekerI am also getting these calls. I have asked them to remove me from the list and they have not. I was scammed on a craigslist job ad. I figured out it was a scam 5 mins after I have filled out the application form. AGH! I bet you who ever put up those ads are getting commission for the number of people that "sign up." I know it is a bogus online form where you think you are actually applying for a job but you end up signing up for this scam. I wish I can track down the guy that puts up the ad and the company that might be blindly paying him commission. He needs to be fined or jailed!
- DCreceived call on my cell, no message. i called back and was answered after a few minutes on hold. telemarketer identified business as Education Bridge
- Caller: Education Bridge
- Dawn JohnsonTell them to stop! I have talked to someone from this number and told them I was not interested in on line school. They are calling my cell phone, which i use for work. I am often driving and do not look at the small screen to find out who it is. I answer and either get a woman insisting I sign up for classes....or it is just dead. In the mean time...I have used minutes which I pay for!
- NatashaThis number keeps calling every hour. So annoying. I keep calling them back and hanging up....hopefully this will piss them off. They need a taste of their own medicine for once!
- DoreenI don't know who these people are or why they keep calling me. Nobody is there when I answer and they leave music on my voicemail. It's annoying, especially when I'm at work.
- Caller: ?
- irritatedRegister your complaint on the national do not call registry. If enough of us complain, maybe they will stop them!
https://www.donotcall.gov/default.aspx - PatI got a few voicemails from this caller too after applying for a job via an employment search engine.I managed to find their website and email address. (General email mailbox...but I'm sure any messages will be forwarded to the proper department.) It is: info@courseadvisor.com . I basically told them to TAKE ME OFF THEIR LIST and included the same for my email address. (I told them any solicitation email will be treated as "SPAM".) We'll see if this works.
Good luck to all having this problem!- Caller: Education Bridge
- Enough! This is so annoying! They have been calling me since Friday from 2 different numbers. They call every couple of hours and up until 10pm on both Friday and Saturday night. I am looking for a job and I get excited when my phone rings, but it's always them!!!!!!!!!!
- KenIf you applied for a job through Career Networks or one of the several domain name that they mask under and chose to "further your education" option, Career Networks has sold your personal info to this company and several more like it.
Carrer Networks is an employment scam that makes it's money selling your personal info. - JimKen, you are so right. This is a Career Networks scam. I posted an application for a job there, and because I am interested in pursuing my education (I'm currently registered and starting classes in July), I selected that option. I should have known this was a scam as the website immediately put me through to one of the "we'll help you select your university" sites. Now, they've called my cell phone- a "confirmation" call only (classical music, then hang up... long enough for the computer to confirm that my number works and someone spoke...). Personally, I threaten suit on these people, when I actually get to talk to one. I'm already suing a major corporation- I'm sure my lawyer would love to get his teeth into these people...
- Caller: unknown... yet, but suspicious.
