Received a call from them, do not know who they are

I keep getting phone calls from this person called Mrs. Jackson. It doesn't actually come from this number this is the number she tells me to call. IN fact she demands I call her office without EVER telling me why she's calling or who she's calling for. I'm not going to call a number I don't know without knowing why.

This is National Enterprise Systems (http://www.nes1.com/). They are actually located in Ohio, but use numbers in other areas.

Cliffnotes: this is a debt collector.



This number is National Enterprise Systems - who is a debt collector (in my case Sally Mae).  Sally Mae charges off the loans, and then sells them for pennies on the dollar to these guys.  Who in turn hound you (instead of the original debtor) to make their investment back.

So yeah..you get a call from these guy, and you don't know why?
Well they bought your bad debt off some other company, and want you to pay.

They "FIRST" want your full name, full address, D.O.B,
They'll refuse to tell you who they are untill they've asked & you've answered their questions, Then they hang up on you.
Upon call back, the number is no longer in service...

According to another website, these people do NOT have anything to do with Sally Mae, and you think you're paying off your loans, but in actuality they are scamming you out of money - none of that money goes to Sally Mae.  Please do not give them any money without talking to Sally Mae directly concerning your student loans.
