why do they keep calling me for? Its Not wanted.

When you call the number back it says it is Mother's Against Drunk Driving (M.A.D.D.)

Received calls from this number but I don't answer.  I am suspicious.

I get a call from this number EVERY DAY at 9:13AM EST - EVERY DAY!!! How do I get this to stop?

I don't get multiple calls from them, I've only received one and it was a MADD fundraiser, but it's all for a good cause.

Caller ID did not give an area code, it just said:

981-2591
Toll Free Call

so I don't know if the area code is actually 800, or 866, or what.  Didn't answer it.  

NEVER donate to strangers on the phone, whether they claim to be affiliated with the cause or just raisng money for them; you don't know whether the cause will get 50% or 5% of your donation, or whether the caller is nothing more than a phisher going after your credit card number.  .  

If you want to donate to a charity, contact them yourself and make a donation.

I am so sick of getting these calls!!!  This number, among others on a daily basis!! I am on a do not call list for a reason!!

Mothers Against Drunk Drivers.  They are soliciting magazine sales (as verified by their website through Dial America).  12.5% of the proceeds goes to MADD.  REALLY?!  Who thought up that amazing way to gain money for your organization?  If I wanted to donate, I don't think I'd spend 50.00 just so they could get $6.25 for their charity.  I'd rather just send them a check for 10.00 and save myself 40.00...

Sidebar:  non-profit organizations are exempt from the Do Not Call registry.  I've been informed of this and also researched it.

Have sent MADD an email ontheir website alerting them they are breaking law calling people on the national do not call registry -- and if this is not them, they need to find out who is using their name.  Either way, they need to put a stop to it.  Why don't you join me in complaining directly to them.

Called M.A.D.D. back at 1-800-981-2591.  Had to listen to a taped message.  There was no option to be put on the Do Not Call List thru this number.  The taped message gave 1-800-981-5526 for M.A.D.D. customer service.  I called it, and told the person to put my phone number on the Do Not Call List.  They were nice, I was nice, and now hopefully one less phone call to my phone number.

They call every few days, leave no message.  I dont answer.

I called 800-981-2591, listened to the entire message that gave 1-800-981-5526 as a number to call back, called during the hours given, spoke to a person and and requested that they remove me from their calling list.

i went to best buy and bought a new set of cordless phones last week with "call block". now every evening when i get home i check every number here on " who calls me". if i don't want them to ring my number again i block them. next time they call my house they get a busy signal!

I also tracked down their customer service number.  800-981-5526 and asked to be removed from their list.  They were polite - usually those people hang up on you.

You can still ask them to take you off their list.

They have called multiple times in the mornings and in the evenings.  They do not leave a message, nor have they responded when we've answered their calls.  We have been on the National Do Not Call Registry for several years.  This is beyond annoying and it needs to stop.

wish they would quit calling!  Don't leave message!  Very annoying!

Im on the do not call list for pennsylvania as well as the national do not call list. We receive a call from this organization 3 times a day every damn day which almost always coincides with y 2 month olds sleep time! How is it that they can bluntly ignore the do not call list and get away with it?
