I also just received following text message: "PointBank NOTICE: Your CARD starting with4142* has been placed on HOLD. Please call us at: 800-991-4370."

This is a scam, check the number on the back of your card - it is not the same; point bank does not even have my cell number so how could they send the text at all?  
All point bank cards are 4142 - 4 means visa, 142 means point bank (ISO 7812 / IIN standards).
Its like Monty Python's hiding game; they throw that out there to every number they can find and see how many people (with no common sense) calls them back and gets 'phished'

Point Bank is dang good about NOT doing anything like this over the phone, they send you letters and require you to be there in person to do most of this stuff - IF you were silly and called them, call the 866 number on the back of the card and get it shut down ASAP; go in monday and get a new card - simple as that.

Just received same message as those above.  Card with 4142 has been placed on hold.  I do not have any card from Point Bank.  Obvious phishing.

Haha. I got this exact text message. I do not even have a Point Bank account! Total phishing/scam!!!!!

Your CARD starting with 5403* has been placed on HOLD. Please call us at: 800-991-4370"

I don't have a account with them at all - wtf?  Seemed odd - so I googled the phone #  Glad I found this site.  What is wrong with people?!?!  Trying identity theft though all sorts of means - stupid and evil.  I hope the people who do this get some sort of nasty disease and die.
