call comes up unknown but does not leave any type of message

This is a past-due reminder/request for payment from a credit card company. It is a legitimate number. Perhpas they hang up because they need to speak with a person instead of leaving a message?

This is from Aspire Visa They Call and leave no message, reasoning is that they cannot leave information where it can be accessed by another party due to phishing laws.

This is Emerge credit card

i called them back and they had no record of may name or telelphone number and was told it was a mistake. i got another call and message the day after they told me it was a mistake. what's going on with these people?

Ok folks, lets make one thing clear. It is NOT against the law for them to leave a message saying who they are calling for and the name of their company!! My husband was out of work for almost a year, and we fell behind on several things that were "non-essential" like food and electricity.  I am now getting phone calls from several collection agencys and most of them leave a message of some kind when our machine picks it up. It is harrassment to call over and over (up to a dozen times a day) and never leave a message!! NOT leaving a message is also a great way to NOT get paid anything. As long as they are only stating who they are calling for and what company they work for, they are not breaking any privacy laws, nor endangering anyone's identity.

Wrong number! Stop Calling!!!!

these guys call everyday even on sunday usually every half hour begining at 8am and ending around 9:30pm they NEVER leave a message so we don't know who they are. i answered one time and they asked for me by name. when i said yes this is her they hung up. They still continued to call every half hour and still do.

I go along with everbodys explaination about this nuumber,  the way it works its their machine that calls you and if you do decide to pick up the reciever that signals the machine to route the call to an operator,  if you dont pick up the reciever and the machine gets an answering machine,  99% of the time it will just hang up the call and try again later on.....

1-801-656-6410    These people call all day long on my job and my home phone they never leave a message.  They even use seveal other numbers.  They call all weekend even on Sunday..  If they want a response from me they need to leave a message of who they are and what they want.  I have legal people who are ready for them.

BS. Why would they call me then? I don't owe anybody anything! It's probably the gov-ment being nosey

This call was from Humana Healthcare.  They called to verify a change of address. Nothing to be concerned or upset about... Perfectly reasonable request and legit!

They keep calling. Is this a scam. When is the FCC going to take control?
