called 3 times today. recording saying "goodbye" every time.

Our phone number was stollen and is being used to maliciously call thousands and thousands of people.  We receive more phone calls that we can begin to answer from people who have been victimized by this entitiy or person doing this.  It's frustrating because the police can't do anything for us because the calls don't originate from us so we have no idea where to trace them to or how to track down the culprit.  Your understanding is appreciated.  Perhaps filing a police report and having them trace the phone call you received would help.

got 2 calls from them with no message. when called it said is was not accepting messages in the mailbox

I have been getting calls from this number all day, I do not answer, and they do not leave a message. They are starting to get on my nerves.

I wasnt able to answer the phone, but I called back and it says I have reached a number that is no longer in service. why do these people call. if they want us to take care of business they should at least provide a working number!!

I got a call from this number today as well... no message was left when I let it go to the answering machine... called the number back and it does indeed say that "You have reached a number that is no longer in service." WTF!?
While I did enjoy the post from Josh saying that his number was stolen and he can't do anything about it, I find that somewhat hard to believe. If your number was indeed 'stole', there are legal methods available to you that cost little or nothing to prosecute the perpetrator. Either it was never your number in the first place, and you are just blowing smoke up people's [***], or you are so lazy and uncaring that it defies belief!

I have had the same thing happen as Ashely. It's my cell phone and it happened twice today so far and it's not even 1 yet.
