This number calls my house several times a day, but never leaves a message. It's getting quite irritating and when I do pick up, nobody answers.

I got a call from someone calling themself Jennifer from this number. She said she was with Williams and Fudge, calling to collect on my federal student loans. I advised her that those had been paid off for several years. She lectured me on the importance of paying my debt. That legally I'm bound to them. I said that the IRS had garnished my wages and tax returns for several years until the debt was satisfied. She then advised me that I need to provide her with proof of this fact and then I advised HER that she needs to provide me with proof of the debt and not to call me again until she could do so. She hung up on me. I called her back and she hung up on me again. These people are very unprofessional apparently. I am looking to file a complaint on them now.

Pieces of trash. An online school tried to charge me for attending at extra semester when I dropped almost 2 months prior. The school realize this and dropped the balance, but not before they sent it to a collection agency who now won't stop calling. Agents there claim that they have received no word from the school, however I have a fax copy of the zero balance and was copied on a letter and email directly to them....Scum of the Earth.

I received a call on my cell phone for my stepson (who does not use my cell - we don't live in the same household!). They refused to identify themselves till I told them they are required by federal law to do so. It was Williams and Fudge. I gave them my stepson's cell number and told them to remove my cell number immediately and that if I heard of them calling anyone else in our family that I will make sure they are reported to the State Attorney General in our state and the state they are operating out of. By the way - they are in Rock Hill, South Carolina. It really was their bad day when they called me as I am a professional researcher.

    As a consumer
I would call these tactics fishing. As a consumer you have the legal right to only talk to the original lender. Debts may be sold to 3rd party collections agents. If you have a valid debt or one you wish to dispute, do it in writing. Either that, or wait till they(original lender) take you to court, as all that will happen is that a judge will require you to appear and them to appear to make a final decision on the debt. Personally I would rather spend 1/2 hr in court than 10-15 minutes on the phone with a debt collector who may try to get me to settle or PA a debt over the phone: while eating dinner. 2) while I am driving. 3) while I am on the other line. 4) while I am at work. 5) while I am using an unpublished number - or any combination of these.

If you have ever worked telemarketing, then you know that your success or failure is based on your conversion rate. Now I have never seen Williams and fudge. I don't know if they are a legit company or some sneaky Nigerian scam artist. Frankly I don't care. If they are legit then it is safe to assume the person on the other end of the phone is paid by how many people pay out and by how much. They don't know you, they don't care to either. All they want is your money. If you don't know how debt collections work then I suggest you do some research on it as a company who is owed money- you will be surprised I am sure as to how much the middle man buys and sells your debt on the dollar. Check your state and local laws before you even give out your real name over the phone- you never know who may just be fishing for more of your personal info.

Just received a call from this number this morning. Phone died on me, so I didn't answer. Have not checked to see if a message was left or not. I see that this is a collections agency for college loans. I do have college loans, but they are not in default or even collectable as I am in school right now. Not really sure why they are or could be calling.

Have recieved a few calls from this #. I see that they mostly handle student loan debt. My federal loans are not in default, as I am currently a student and they enter deferment when you are in school. And it's not the only other loan I had through Sallie Mae as they are paid off. They never leave a message. At current they only call once or twice a day and only one day and then nothing for 2-3 weeks. Would like to know why they're calling, but at the same time I don't really want to know. Although, they could be trying to reach whomever own my home phone # before I did. It's been three years and I still get phone calls for the person who owned the # before me.

This Number called my landlord/boss asking to talk to me. And when he asked who it was they said it was confidential. I have heard of these
Types of scams before. All you can do is block the number or call the phone company.
