Got four call from that number today

Been getting calls and voicemail from this number several times. I can't make out the voicemail although today I heard 'luv ya' at the end!

I've been getting calls at least 3 times a day every day for over a month. I am on the Do Not Call list. No message is ever left.  How can we get rid of them?

I have been getting calls twice a day from the above number. My caller ID states " telefund" so I don't pick it up. I will file a complaint with the FCC or FTC.

I've been receiving calls from this number several times a week for over a month.  Sometimes the answer is to just call the number back!  This is a telemarketing agency looking for donations for non-profit organizations.  Likely one you've donated to before - or whoever had your number previously donated to.  If you leave your phone number on their voicemail, they will remove you from their calling list- so they say.  I haven't tried it yet.  Good luck all!

The original call I answered was from the Obama / DNC campaign. Started with: "thank you for your support in the past." (I donated $ to the DNC when I thought Gore would win 8^o) I was busy and couldn't talk/use cell phone minutes, hung up quickly saying Obama has my vote for polling(?) purposes. Noted the number, gave it an address book entry of "DoNotAnswer" and assigned a barking dog ringtone. They have called almost every day since ( more than likely for $$, not an opinion), but all I hear is "woof woof woof".

Twice a day.  Please make this number stop calling me.  Even if I did donate to someone at one time.

What is wrong with the National Do Not Call Registry?  These calls don't stop from any telemarketer!

Answer the call and tell them you know they really don't work for the charity, politician or organization and that any future donations will be made directly to the organization NOT over the phone. This is a common scam or con in which an organization receives a list of donors illegally and then ask for donations for that same charity. To avoid prosecution they donate only 10% of proceeds to that organization and legally can stay in business. They keep 90%. This is also a common Mafia scam.

They phoned me during the presidential debate claiming to be apart of the Obama campaign. They phoned on my cell and after the legal time they are allowed to call which I believe is 9 pm. They were also nasty when I refused to donate and said I would donate online. Answer the call but DO NOT GIVE MONEY.

I got a call tonight from the number 805-897-1183, but there was no message.. I am on the Do not call list too - so I'm not sure why - except the comment above make it seem like it is random.

You must answer the phone call and let them know, politely, that you would like to be put on the do not call list, if you don't answer or just say "I already said no!" they will continue to call. If youare nasty with them, they will continue to call you just because, and possibly put you on the call list for multiple times that day. So just politely decline to be a part of the appropriate organization and request to be removed from the list, no scam.

The caller ID indicates Telefund.  When I pick up the phone there is no one on the line.  The calls come in at various times of the day.  Now when I see the number on the caller ID, I just pick the phone and hang up.

First call we’ve had from these guys.  One of many scam charities out there and growing in number all the time.  As a general rule, few if any phone charities are honest and worse yet, they siphon off funds from the legitimate ones.  Just hang up on them.
