If you're  subscribed to a premium text message service there should be a five digit number on your bill to unsubcribe. You simple take that code and text the word "Stop" or "Unsubscibe" to that company. Once you've done this the provider should send a confirmation text that tells you that you have successful unsubscibe to their service with their phone number to call.

The Mobile Marketing Association requires premium content providers to offer so-called double opt-in — meaning the customer must request the service and then confirm their interest again before they can be charged anything. You might think that downloading that new Tetris game, for example, won't result in any extra charges. However, if you receive an "Are you sure? or password" message before the transaction is complete it's highly likely that a charge above and beyond your wireless service provider's usual text message or web-usage fee is forthcoming, . Responding "no" or texting stop to the shortcode sent to you should be enough to cancel a pending charge — although you won't get to download that game you want, either
You can also call the number sent to the mobile phone for help and  refunds.

I hear you loud and clear
You were notified that it was a billable service. The carrier requires the company to do so, however you actually need to read the full message, or if it was a child's line they needed to tell you.
Premium text are not 3rd party fraud, several sign up for them and enjoy them. Some banks even use the premium messages to notify their customers about account information. What if you wanted one of the services and the carrier blocked you from it? You'd be singing a different tune.

theyre taking £4 a week of me, I ONLY GET £10 A MONTH! my friend told me about them soon after i started getting the texts. they are a games cheat site and for 2 months you get annoying free messages about how you can type in a game and they send you a cheat. at first i thought 'wow thats cool' so i sent a game name to them. they sent a message back a week later with a cheat saying 'if you enter this code on you will pay £10 for a list of cheats'. i refused. the very next text i got was talking about the site and saying that you can get free stuff on it. 6 months later after a very baffling load of phone bills i got a text saying 'for every week you pay £4 to us. If you want to stop your subscription text STOP now, or call our help line' my phone is a bit spazzy so i cant text. at all. to anyone. so a called the helpline. they told me that they were not in office hours then so to leave a message. so i did. at the end of the message it finally told me some vital information. IT COSTED 10 ******* POUNDS. i still havent got my subscription taken off, and i did that last month. THEY ARE ******* SCAMMERS AND SHOULD BE TAKEN TO COURT, FORCED TO GIVE BACK THE MONEY THEY OWE US, AND JAILED FOR LIFE.

I'm getting several texts from this no. With a webpage to give to the President. I have done that, but last month I had 6 charges. I normally give by enail only. Now, they ask me why I haven't given, and I've given 3x.  It needs to be checked into.
