leaves messages. ask to return call.  when I do I get an answering machine that does not identify who they are

I received a message from a Joe Kam from (808)948-9510 and called it back. When I called back and asked for a Joe Kam he didn't want to tell me what company he was representing. He insisted that I give him my full name and telephone number. I refused telling him I would like to know the company he is calling from. The person who identifed himself as Joe Kam got upset and hung up the phone since I did not want to give him any information about myself!! Obviously this person must be up to something if he can't explain where he is calling from!! Beware if you call the number back block your telephone number before calling!!

Well Mr. Joe Kam from 808-948-9570 I'm responding to your comment that you did not want to identify your company. Well if you did not want to identify your company when I called what make you think I want to tell you my personal information!! Quite unprofessional for you calling from a company and just hanging up since I was not cooperative with you giving you my personal information!!

This guy may be crazy... same thing is happening to me. He doesn't stop calling my cell and when my husband called to check who he was he gave this same name - Joe Kam (?) - but would not identify from which company he works for...  there is something fishy here !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Legit. Bank of Hawaii bill collector. If you have had problems with Bank of Hawaii, it's them! the guy sounds rude though. His voice sounds intimidating and very serious.

Yes, he is a valid bill collector for the bank. i forgot the name of his company. but i made payment arrangements w/ him a few years ago & paid off money i owed bank of hawaii. but i had the same problem figuring out who he was & the messages are ridiculous & unprofessional, not to mention his people skills, once you actually connect w/ him, are sadly lacking!

They are also using a girls name as Leticia, there are two phone nos: this one and 808-628-6701.
Are these people legal?

I have a bank of hawaii checking account and business account but not any credit cards or debt with them. Why the call? ANd if he is legit as BOH he should identify himself as such in the message. I still think it sounds fishy.

he's from a collection agency called guardian capital management hawaii.  just settled a debt with him.  instead of doing a check-by-phone, i told him i'd mail the check to allow me time to verify with the real company i owed money to see if they indeed deal with guardian capital.  it's legit.  he wasn't warm a cozy...just straight to the point.

Joe Cam just called me about a boh debt and hung up on me as I was speaking. He was very unprofessional so I phoned him back to finish our conversation. When I told him I was out out of work and did not want to promise a payment since I have no current income. He shouted "that's ridiculous, I don't have time to talk to you!" I called him a prick and hung up.
It's my turn to call your house and disrespect you prick!

For any who wish to do the same, I am not yet 100% the following info is accurate, Voice mesg. is a computer greeting. I'd hate to disrespect someone who didn't ask for it.

I have to tell you that this man is not legit. He called me saying he was from collections for the waimea clinic(which doesn;t even exist). If this guy is legit, then how is it that he's collecting for the hospital and BOH? I think you got scammed. Be careful.

i got a letter in the mail from guardian capitol management telling me i owe 45 dollars on an engagement ring i thought i payed off. well i have left messages and no one has answered yet. im currently stationed in south korea for the us military. whats the business hours and whats the best way to get ahold of this person to straighten things out? these are the 2 numbers i recieved. 1 808-589-1985 and 1 808-948-9309

I am receiving phone calls from this company non stop and it doesn't mention what the collection is for.. I haven't received any notices in the mail so how do I know this is legit? There is nothing on my credit report for this company so I am wondering why they are contacting me??

This number being calling me, but don't leave a messages. I really don't answer calls that I don't where or who from. If they calling any people don't pick up leave a messages.

this number belongs to joe kam.  he called my work place doesn't leave messages but constantly calling at late hours 6p and 9p. Calls my cell no message left.  Finally I get his call at work and speaking to him I advise him not to call my work place I feel so humiliated and he took it personal cause when I continued to speak nice with him he just gave his spill from Guardian Capital and rudely hangs up.  I,m at work and had to deal with his BS.

This person kept calling, I am not sure if he is who he is.

Got a call from Joe Kam 949-9570. He asked if I was Daisy Mouse and I said no I was Minnie Mouse. He asked if I knew how to reach Daisy and I said she was my daughter and not at this number or residence. He asked if I could contact her and ask that she call him. I told him that this was MY cell not my daughters and a business one at that.
DOnt' understand how he got my cell number and calling for my daughter.
