called me.  i didn't pick up.  caller left no message.

It showed up as nielen ratings on my caller id

UNIDENTIFIED CALLER

Call every day now for a week, left no message. Caller ID says Unknown Caller

4 times a day everyday and just now 7 times in a row, all being blocked as unknown caller the last time identifying themselves. Who on Earth needs me to do and interview for TV (which we do not watch) THAT badly?

They keep calling but leave no message.

VERY irritating!

Caller stated she was from the Neilson TV Ratings. Wanted to know how many TV's we had and age of the household and adrress information and if we would fill out a survey.  Other ph # provided 1-800-237-8611.  Felt later this was a scam to set up a house robbery.

Caller called and when I answered, they did not say anything and then hung up on me.

Called about 7 times in the last week!  Leaves no message

This number calls my house 4-6 times a day. Don't know who it is but it is long distance.

I have gotten this number several times as well and it shows up as UNKNOWN NAME and never leave a voice mail.

They are the TV ratings group.  They'll pay you to do a week's worth of TV journaling, and they pay the return postage on the journals.  We got paid when they sent us the material to do the surveys.

Said he was with Nielsen Ratings. I told the individual my household does not participate in ANY phone surveys. Caller stated it was not a survey or sales pitch. I inquired if he would be asking questions to which he stated yes. I then asked if he was stupid or if failed to understand that a survey consisted of questions. A long pause and I broke the silence by telling him I would gladly participate in his survey as long as he didn’t ask any question. He then hung up. Called several times afterwards and left no message.

I have been through this before with other corps.FORGET what you have just read--it will NOT work.Only one thing works. Its takes a little while, but its worth it. First, do NOT answer the phone, for any reason. Do not let your answering machine answer it too.If you do the computer knows that your number is a up and running number. Thats all they want to know, so they keep calling you.If you have caller id like i do,you must disconnect your machine from answering the call completely, so it just keeps ringing. After a while, the computer red lines your "bad" number. It doesnt pay for them to keep calling you, it cost them money.They consider your number a dead number. It might take a week or so, but they will stop when its not cost effective for them. It worked like a charm for the other 5 crappy numbers. Go for it-do not answer, do not talk--period.

It's Nielsen Ratings. They are legit. I thought it was a crud call but went ahead and answered it one day. They asked if we would write down what we'd watch on TV for a week. We said ok THEN they mentioned they'd pay us 30 dollars for doing it. Several days later, they sent us all the info we needed plus 30 dollars cash. We were expecting a check so the cash was a nice surprise. My opinion? The calls may be annoying it but answer it, agree to do the test and see if they say they'll pay  you. It is worth the 30 bucks.

They keep calling. They are getting on my nerves. DO NOT CALL!!!
