I received a call from this number asking me to get accidental insurance through my bank of America credit card.

Caller ID displayed "Maxwell Interac"  Call was from solicitor from Florida Fraternal Order of Police Memorial Foundation.

Recieved numerous calls from this number, claiming to be Bank of America. My bank informed this is a fruad, so beware.

I keep getting calls from this number and when I answer they hang up (what the heck, seriously?)  Sometimes I get 3 calls in a row.  I called back one time and the message I got claims that this is a Bank of America number and that if I received a call from this number it's not about any problems but about Bank of America promotions.  The message claims that they're open 8am-6pm (even though I get calls from them past 8pm) and then offers the opportunity to leave a "general voicemail" for them but then it says "good bye" and disconnects.

If this is truly Bank of America, then it's insanely poorly executed, which leaves me to think that it's some kind of a scam.

If you have Comcast Digital Voice, you can screen these types of calls.

What is Call Screening and how do I use it with my Comcast Digital Voice® service?
When you don't want to be interrupted by certain callers, Call Screening allows you to create a list of up to 12 numbers that will receive an announcement indicating you re not presently accepting calls.

To use Call Screening:

Lift the receiver and listen for the dial tone.
Press *60.
A menu of options will guide you in managing this feature. The prompts will enable you to activate and deactivate the feature as well as add, delete, or review the numbers on your list.

To cancel Call Screening:

Lift the receiver and listen for the dial tone.
Press *80.
When prompted press 3 to turn the feature off.
Note: When creating your list, enter the area code plus the 7 digit number for both local and domestic long-distance numbers.

This is only one of the many harassing, phone numbers that used to call me.  Go buy a new cordless phone that blocks any number that you program in to it.  I bought the Panasonic KX-TG6413.  Best Buy or Amazon.  Now whenever my phone rings, it analyizes the number, and if it has been blocked by me, it sends the caller an immediate busy signal.  Now, when my phone rings, I listen for the second ring.  If it rings twice, I know it's a "friendly" call.  There are probably many phones that have this built in.  I don't own stock in Panosonic................but I guarantee this fixed my problem.
