no messages, just a call every day to a relative's home asking for me (they informed me, in case it was something important.  I agree with above posts, the American Red Cross is pushing it now and this really is not the way I'd expect them to solicit $ or other.

"Merchandise Pickup" called me daily (2 to 3 times).  I have even forced my fax machine to pickup in hopes they will stop calling.  When I do answer, no one responds.

Keep getting daily calls from 813 881 1700 I am signed up for the do not call list, but keep getting a call from this number.  No messages are left on my answering machine, and when I pick up no one is there.  How can the annoyance be stopped?

This number has been calling me many times.  When I answer, there is no one on the other end of the line.  I called it back, and a very nice woman answered...RED CROSS PICKUP.
She informed me that the Red Cross was going to be in my area and would pick up any items of clothing or household things.  
Just leave the items in a box or bag marked RC in front of the house.  They will pick up on a named day and leave a receipt at the door.

I am getting calls from this number daily. It stopped for a while and then started again. They dont leave a message.

Beware everyone, I had the same call and scheduled a pickup the next day I had someone stop by to tell me about ADT, gave me a business card, with phone cell fax website. I tried to lookup the business and then called ADT myself and they have no listing of this business. I filed a complaint with the Sheriff's Dept. Our neighborhood has been on high alert for this activity. PLEASE BEWARE!!!!! Be safe.

I KEEP GETTING CALLS AT ALL HOURS, THEY NEVER ANSWER.  IT  IS AN ADVERTISING FOR CLOTHING PICK-UP.  WE WANT THIS STOPPED

I get daily calls from 813 881 1700. No message left. Caller is identified as "merchandize pic" or something like that.

My husband agreed to donate some used clothes to the American Red Cross.  2 days before pickup they called, left a message stating they would be by to pick up the clothing.  In the mean time, the clothing was donated to another non profit.  So I called the 800 number that was left, to cancel the pickup.  I called several times to no avail.  A truck still came by on the Tuesday scheduled, and left a note saying sorry that they missed us.  I understand that this business is located in Tampa, Fl.  I was trying to stop the pick up to save them fuel costs.  I quess they were not interested.

Now, I get a daily call, with no message.  I qoogled to find out the above.

I got a call from this number tonight saying they were the Red Cross and will be picking up in my neighborhood on a date they gave me, they are asking for clothing and household items to be put out wth RC written on it. Now I have started wondering how I know they are the Red Cross? I googled the number to find out and landed here

Forgot to mention my caller ID says Unknown Name ,Unknown Number. I would think the Red Cross wouldnt want to hide it. I was not home last night and a non hidden call came in I looked up that number and got here. I answered the no name or number ID so I know that call was from someone claiming to be Red Cross

Same here. This morning another call came and when I answered third ring, no reply;dead phone.

I also gave to 'merchandise pic'up a few mos ago. They have called several times asking for more donations. I guess now they think people read minds.

If this is truly red cross, they have one pathetic way of asking for help for others, or errrr, their own wallets.

I will NOT be donating to them ever agian.

They call all the time and don't leave a message.  Sometimes I get two call within 5 minutes.  I'm on the do not call list.  Can these harassing calls be stopped???????

Usually. They schedule a couple of weeks out and they arrive in a Red Cross vehicle. They accept old clothes and unneeded household items. Package and mark it with Red Cross so they know for sure they only take what is meant for them.

I too, get these calls from this number.  The last time they called was on Saturday morning at 8:09 am.  I do not answer these calls and have not for the past year, dont they get it.  I am not interested. BTW, I am also on the DO NOT CALL list, however this does not seem to matter to them.

called my home phone. I am on the DO NOT CALL registry..but they are relentless. No one left a message. caller ID indicated  Mechandiser. Tampa area. Did not call them back. Geesh! Leave us alone people. Harrassment. Needs to end.

Charity Clothing Pick-up.  I spoke with Daniel and he said I will be removed from their call list.  We will see?!
