lease join my counterinsurgency: when i get these kinds of calls i immediately and honestly inform them that i am not interested but i know they'll keep going anyway.  So i tell them it is my intention to keep them on the phone for as long as possible, wasting as much of their time as possible, and buying absolutely nothing.  Often they hang up immediately.  other times they volunteer to to add me to their dnc list.  Sometimes, beleive it or not, they keep on talking.  When this happens i typically put the phone down near the TV so they can hear the news.  Sometimes i say something ocassionally to keep em going.  My record so far is about 20 mins.  I've come to love doing this and take pride in thinking that i'm stopping/delaying them from wasting someone else's time.  Great fun!
