The call I got was telling me I owed a debt of $500. to be paid immediately to avoid a $5000. warrant that was to be issued for my arrest w/in the days end. I was suppose to go to money gram or a pre-paid visa debit card, yet I was NOT to pay them directly, I was given a ref.# to the Co.VPS. I called local police and they thought it sounded like a scam and that there wasn't a warrant for my arrest to their knowledge. (really reassuring! Def won't make sleeping any easier tonight!!) I called my bank, the bank did some research coming up w/info it was a scam and gave me info on how to check myself in the future.This world really has become a DOG EAT DOG world. People doing anything/everything possible to make even the poorest of poor people give up pennies!

This number called everyone including my work to find me, except me. They have harassed me through others for weeks.  I called back to find they say I owe a large sum of money and that they had the "swat team" out looking for me and they were closing in. They rattled off a bunch of crap about fraudulent instruments, and surveillance cameras. When asked for an account number they quickly changed the subject. When I mentioned the FTC they hung up the phone. I filed a complaint with the FTC.
