One of the many annoying calls that I never answer and they never leave a message.

Never leave, never speak, just rings and hangs up.

It is Portfolio Recovery calling from one of their 1,000s of phone numbers they have.

How do I block them from my phone...very annoying.

I said I was not interested but they kept talking. They would not take no for a answer! I finally hanged up. My phone said the call was from Portfolior Ecov.

These people are parasites.  It is a debt collection company, Portfolio Recovery, they buy old debts and try to collect them. I have been divorced from my ex for over 20 years and they still call me.  If you do owe someone and these people call check to see if the Statue of Limitations has run our on credit card debt.  In most states it is 4 years, so they are SOL on trying to collect.  Even if it hasn't run out they better have the original contract between you and the credit card company or they cannot collect at all.  They could take you to court, but it will be thrown out without your original contract.  Also Portfolio is under investigation by the FCC.  They are just as bad as sleeze ball Ambulance chasers.  Check with you phone provider to see if you can block their number.

Yep.  Portfolio Recovery Associates.  Like I even know anyone in Richland, TX.  If you're gonna spoof phone numbers, at least try to find out where I might actually know someone and therefore might actually pick up the phone.  

This number 8174799154 is the company Portfolio Recovery. They are sleaze bag debt collectors who have no business calling me but they don't care that they are scum balls, this number is in Texas like many other horrible things are also in that corrupt state. If you call them you deserve every possible punishment that they deserve as birds of a feather will flock together.

Back off, the State Attorney General's office knows about your 179 numbers in 14 states, and I had someone in the Austin office look at my credit record; they say you can do NOTHING to me. The debt is beyond the statute of limitations and amounts to only a small claims court mediation, if that at all...

This communication will be with a debt collector and is an attempt to collect a debt any information obtained will be used for that purpose. Our main office is located at 120 Corporate Blvd. Norfolk, Virginia. 23502."

Caller ID listed the number as Portfolio Recovery, who as usual call and leave no message. I've never actually talked to these clowns, but based on what others have reported, the are apparently run some sort of debt collection scam.
