Yep,  another  one  of  *Portfolio  Recovery  Associates*  many  phone  numbers,  they're  calling  &  asking  for  the  *wrong*  person ...beware!  a  call  from  817-500-9094 ( or  any  of  PRA's  other  phone  numbers )  is  a  debt  collection  scam ~ they  are  *phishing*  for  info  --AND--  using  *scare  tactics*  to  get  money  from  you .....give - them - nothing.

this number keeps calling me and leaves no message. and today i got another call and they ask for someone who does not live here. how are they, and why do they keep calling. this is harassment. what can be done?

Log in to your phone company website, block the number. If you are unable to do this, call your phone provider and ask them to block the number. :)

I just missed a call from that number,  so I called back. They are definitely throwing together random bits of info and attempting to collect debts. They had my name and number linked to a debt that is absolutely not mine, with someo else's SSN and address. I asked if they could send me a hard copy of the info they have in regards to my supposed debt, but they wouldn't. I'm sure they operate on the assumption that many people don't have a very good idea of what they owe and to who, and likely end up collecting a hefty little sum.

They are trying to collect money that I owe on an old credit card from 10yrs ago. When I want to pay that off I will deal with the company themselves.  They keep calling I never answer the phone. when. they call.

They called; I didn't answer the phone (I never answer unrecognized calls). They didn't leave a message. There must be tens of thousands of these marauders all across the country!

Portfolio call from all kinds of numbers and those with other peoples names on them.

Portfolio Recovery Associates. They keep calling about some supposed debt from 1982. That debt is old enough to vote now. Let it pay its own way. It was never mine in the first place.

PortFOOLio Redouchery is at it again.  I wonder when they wake up and decide "hmm, I've been harassing this person for 3 1/2 years now and I've never reached them.  I guess it's time to go on to another number."  Morons.

They have people straight out of prison on there phones trying to collect old money.. ill give a urine sample if they will hold the cup in there mouth.

This weird number keeps calling me and leaving an empty voice male.

First time it called, they did leave a message, but did not say who they was or what company and did not say who they are calling,  only debt collector and info is used to collect debt,  that was it.  so will not call back unless they leave me my name and what this is all about.   I left them a message saying exactly what they had to say to get me to call them back.  I want all the who, what, why, when, how, date, name,(s) numbers before I call them back.   They left none of this.  

Portfolio Recovery called me for the second time today . They just called i started yelling at her and told them that it was against the law to call on Sundays and started screamin at her that I was going to contact an attorney on Monday and she hung up the phone on me

Portfolio Recovery! they have many, many different numbers. They call everyday, very rude! calling about a debt from 2001. they will not listen to any thing you say! How do I get them to stop calling??????

New number from Portfolio Recovery...  a debt collection agency that has sooo many numbers!!  

Calling me to collect debt from 1999....I did not even live in the US then...just idiots phishing for information.  don't be stupid enough to give them anything--not legit!!!

I normally do not answer an unfamiliar number, but I thought this was a medical facility calling. Answered. WRONG!  Another number for Portfolio Recovery!! Guy said his name was Damian (appropriate), used my first name, and I said  "I don't owe anything!". I was hanging up as he continued talking and arguing. Apparently the sneaky [***] use local numbers now, and Im sorry I even answered. "Do Not Call" lists Do Not Work!!!
