This named John called from this number to my job and said I was being sued.  He would not give me any information of who was suing me or what company. He was rude and irate.  Can anyone help me find out who this is and how I can take care of this problem?

I received the same call and it is a sham.  This is a number listing for India.  You must have filled out some sort of form on line in the past month.  I applied for a loan and they called to tell me since the money was deposited and could not be retreived that I am being sued.  an attorneys office is not going to call you without you being served by a court clerks office.  Ignore them.  Block them.  They are scamming you.

Husbands place of work because he committed internet fraud. Never even applied for a loan, but has been receiving tons of spam emails regarding the topic.

I received a call from a gentleman named Jack Williams who stated i had charges being brought agaisnt me in Los Angeles, California... A state in which ive neither visited nor participated in busines in.. told me to call his senior attorney who was named David Cooper and that he would elaborate on the charges beign brought against me... he asked me to confirm the last 4 digits of my ss # which i declined to do so he hung up on me... i googled the superior court of California in the County of Los Angeles whom advised me that there are alot of scams taking place throughout the US using this method and the SUperior court of California.

I received a phone call today stating that I had an arrest warrant in California. I told the man I've never been to California. I then told him I checked the phone listing out and seen where people were saying it was a scam and that he was a fraud, then man hung up on me.

DO NOT GIVE THESE PPL ANY INFORMATION. I WENT TO MY LOCAL POLICE STATION AND FILED A COMPLAINT. GIVE THE POLICE THE PHONE NUMBER, THE PEOPLE YOU SPOKE TO AND IF THEY LEFT A MESSAGE DO NOT ERASE IT.

I received a call today stating all the same things stated above, However I almost fell for it as it seemed so real. However thanks to a friend looking into it quickly and this website, I did not fall for it. Why do people have to prey and scam hard working people? Everyone falls into hard times, or make stupid decisions, but no one deserves to have this happen....

i recieved a call yesterday saying there comming to my work and all the other stuff.  i just dont get the scam.

I recieved the same kind of calls to my job and was terrified really thought I was gonna get arrested and so embarrassed thinking about that happening at work.  the phone calls seemed so real and I really wish they would stop calling my job.

I received a call today from this number saying that I was being sued, for check fraud and that they are going to arrest me. The guy was really irrate, and actually interesting. I am in law enforcement so after he read me my Miranda Rights over the phone, I challenged him and he hung up on me. I keep trying to call him back, but the mailbox is full.

OK, well I finally got through on the number. It is definitely a call service with all the noise background. He said that it was a Law Firm out of Sacramento California Attorney Russell Miller. Then once I challenged him, he hung up on me.

What was the outcome of your situation because this same number just called me and said I was being sued and was going to jail if I didn't pay for a bogus charge I never occurred.?

how can we get those people in charge of all this ?

She then emailed it to me, I called the number and the person on the other end could not even speak English correctly, neither could any of the other people. I asked him why he was calling and would not give any info, he then hung up on me, and when I called back several times he hung up every time, so I got smart and called other phone number with different extensions and then finally got to sepak to a supervisor, who then checked by my phone number and said they have not called me, and then he checked by my work number and they asked me for my name, which I gave and nothing else. He said he would take me off their call list, whether they do or not, I do not know, I guess I will find out. Do not give any info about yourself and if it keeps happening take it to the police I know that is what I am going to do.

There was no outcome. When I challenged the guy over the phone they just hung up. I work in Law Enforcement, and have friends in the court system. It is totally bogus, DO NOT fall for it.

all the same thing, but I told him he was a fraud because I have worked in law for twenty years and my mother is a lawyer in los angeles california and I know that anytime there is a law suite being brought forward it is first filed with the courts getting a case number on it and then you are served by an uninterested party.  I told him that, and to give me the case number and I would look it up at the court house.  He than sounded excited and asked me if i was going tomorrow to the court house.  I thought his excited interest in that was weird and wondered why he wanted to know if that was where i was going to be tomorrow. I told him my mother was my attorney and that she would send her runner to go after the paper work at the court house.  He giggled and said oh your mom is lawyer ha.  I said a few choice words and hung up.  The calls started yesterday, and i can't make out what he is after.  I tried that coopers number like he said and it is a message saying the mail box is full.  I called it yesterday and then again today.  Today  the caller was on  the phone with me and i called coopers number from my computer so he would here that no one was going to answer the phone and the reason being is because the number we are supposed to call is the same number the caller is calling from.

What do I have to do to stop them from calling my cell phone?

said i had a case that was pending and charges were filed..i called back and was hung up on twice and was screamed at and said i was gonna go to jail but wouldnt give or leave any info...
