i did not know what company called me

Just received a call from this company. I know who they are - I answered the phone - and it clicked off.

Hello, We are Optima Care Pharmacy, Inc. and 818-548-5488 is our telephone number. Unfortunately, telemarketing scam artists are using some kind of software that shows our business phone number 818-548-5488 on the Caller ID of the person receiving the call. Please understand that any phone calls you receive from these telemarketing scammers have nothing to do with our business. We are getting hundreds of calls each day from people all over the country asking us why we called them.
   The Federal Trade Commission warns that some telemarketers are using spoofing to get around the National Do Not Call Registry in order to fraudulently pitch things like credit cards, mortgage relief and debt relief. William Maxson with the FTC calls it a serious and growing problem. "They use the name or number of a recognizable national brand or organization to give themselves a veil of legitimacy," Maxson said. "It's that invasion of privacy that concerns us. The consumer can feel overwhelmed." If you have a complaint, start with your phone company. If that doesn't help, contact the California State Attorney General's Office. The Privacy Rights Clearinghouse says it's important to keep a log of the spoofs you receive. "The date, the time, was it a male or a female voice? What did they say? We recommend actually taking a photo of what your caller ID is showing you," said Amber Yoo of the PRC. After that, it's recommended that a complaint be filed with the FTC. They're fighting back by actively investigating complaints. "We've already brought nearly a dozen cases against companies that are engaged in caller ID spoofing," Maxson said.
Optima Care Pharmacy, Inc. has filed complaints and requested investigations with FCC, FTC and the Attorney General's Office in California.

these [***] called again last night. I picked up and immediately clicked off. I now see that it's a legitimate company - where scammers hi-jack the company name.

I got a call today, automated message said I would be joining a conference call and then clicked off with no sound after. Upon research this is a phishing call.

Calls twice a day from Optima Care Pharmacy on caller ID- since Mar 1- they always hang up
one time they said thank you.

"818-924-3306" - is connected to A1-Solar.com. When you call that number and ask for their internet site, they give "A1solar.com. They are somehow connected to these telemarketing scam calls. Please call FCC and FTC and file a complaint about these calls.

When you go to A1solar.com  they advertise and direct you to a lot of other solar panel internet sites, such as www.doingbitbetter.com  or Verengo.com or Paramountsolar.com...... looks like all these solar companies have some kind of connection to these telemarketing scam calls.  I have filed complaints and provided all this information to the FCC,FTC,FBI and Attorney General's Office in my state. (CA.).  I urge all others who get these scam calls to call and complain as well.

When you go to A1solar.com  they advertise and direct you to a lot of other solar panel internet sites, such as www.doingbitbetter.com  or Verengo.com or Paramountsolar.com...... looks like all these solar companies have some kind of connection to these telemarketing scam calls.  I have filed complaints and provided all this information to the FCC,FTC,FBI and Attorney General's Office in my state. (CA.).  I urge all others who get these scam calls to call and complain as well.

People in the San Jose area, if you are getting calls from telemarketers offering free estimates for lowering your home energy costs, you should know that these calls are coming from A1 Solar Power Company that has branches all over California (including San Jose and San Francisco).  Your Caller ID will show 818-548-5488 which I checked online and it belongs to Optima Care Pharmacy, Inc. in Glendale,CA., because they are using caller ID spoofing which hides their number and displays another telephone number (in this case 818-548-5488).  I called FCC and they are already investigating, and this case is at the hands of FCC Enforcement Department.  Please, if you continue getting calls from this company, call FCC and report them so that FCC will have more evidence for prosecution.

It is becoming clear that A1 Solar is behind these scam calls and they are using another phone number (by using caller ID spoofing) to call people on "Do Not Call" list, because legally they are not allowed to call and they use this scam method to call and have another phone number show up on people's caller ID.
What a shame, What a scam.
