Calls from this number daily but usually no name, just hang up.  This time recording said they were Progressive Insurance, then hangs up

First call from this number, didn't answer and they didn't leave a message.

Progessive Insurance promised to lower my car insurance in 6 minutes, instead I took those 6 minutes to write this review telling them just how low they have gotten themselves.  

Received a spam advertisement from Progressive Insurance today on my cell phone at 3:32pm from (818)646-6143 which should be illegal since I pay for my cell phone minutes.  Nice, right in the middle of my work day they spam me.  I press 1 to speak to the Progressive Insurance operator and the scam artist comes on the line saying “How many vehicles can I quote insurance for you today”.  They did not identify themselves as Progressive Insurance.  There was no polite introduction “Thank you for calling Progessive Insurance”.  Does this person even work for Progressive Insurance?  I politely asked to be put on their do not call list to which the scam operator/Progessive Insurance contracted call center employee gruffly replies something inaudible and hangs up on me.  Speak out against lame marketing, protect your cell phones from Progessive Insurance.  Since I wasn’t given the option to request them to remove me from their call spam list, I am posting this review hoping that their independent agents will use their channels of communication to tell corporate to stop spamming regular folks.

I just called them back. They identified themselves as IPC, an independent insurance writer.
I told them I was on the Do Not Call list and he continued to ask if I wanted a quote!
What a [***] clown!

You should file a complaint on the "Do Not Call" website. It only takes a minute.

Got the same call today.I guess they're out control  with the spam.

Got a call from them today on my pay per minute cell phone. I pressed on to speak to an operator and got "Chris" who said. "How many vehicles do you want to insure?" I asked if he really worked for Progressive and he hung up on me.

The thing is is that somehow these spammers must get paid for their spamming somewhere along the line by Progressive. This means Progressive now owes me for my cell phone minites and is contributing to a criminal spammer.

And it means I will never buy from Progressive Insurance.

I hope enough mentions here of Progressive Insurance spam will get these posts on Google search results so that Progressive loses business.

It does not pay to hire criminal spammers to do your marketing as people do not hear XYX Marketing Company", they only hear "Progressive Insurance".

And yes, I am on the do not call list.  Off to file a complaint now!
