Don't know who this is but they left a message saying they need to speak to me or my attorney. This sounds like a scam that others have been hit with. I have had calls from multiple numbers with this same type of harassment. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION.

This is some kind of scam. I work for a law firm and this is not the way they operate at all.  Don't know just what they are after or what they are trying to get (probably your money somehow) but do not respond.  If there were some kind of legal issue the first step would be to have a process server try to serve you personally.  You have to have an address to serve an invididual.  If that failed or you were trying to avoid service there are other means of trying to serving you and this is not one of them.  This type of action is very unprofessional and the courts and attorneys do not operate this way.

This guy goes by the name of Daniel. He is Indian decent and has a horrible grasp of the English language.
He has called me twice now. the first call i received threats of court , report to credit agencies, and of course it could all be settled with my credit card number. he is who everybody is saying is scamming people. Try this, if he calls you , get all the info you can, demand copies of everything he alleges. Dont give him any info at all! Most likely he already has your name , social , banking info, and some references of yours. he doesnt need any more info. Don't say ,"yes" to anything.  He is a scam artist trying to bleed you dry. DON'T BELIEVE ANY THING HE TRIES TO SAY ABOUT YOU.  i'm in Montana , he has targeted people from all over , or so it seems. He scared me once, i did my research . This [***] gets around. The second time he called me i said he had the wrong number, i suggest you do the same. After a third call i'm going to the authorities for harassment. Do the same.

THANK GOD FOR GOOGLING PHONE NUMBERS!!!
I was like literally thinking if I did anything wrong, (which I didn't) and I was dumbfounded by these "testimonies" but apparently he is doing the same scam to me as everybody else on this. First off this guy Jack Wood (same Indian accent with NO idea of the English language) called me. I called back but his "representative" picked up and he told me I had insufficient funds, was writing fraud checks, and if he didn't speak with a LEGAL representative or attorney then I had to go to court or get arrested. He also asked for money but the weird thing is that he actually called my work. So apparently he has your info: work, social, maybe banking and some references of yours (literally could be anybody). BEWARE OF THIS NUMBER AND THESE A**HOLES WHO F***ING CALL YOU! I swear if I found out who he is then I will personally get him in jail for LIFE! If he ever calls more than once, say he has the wrong number or just don't pick up...DAMN STUPID PIECE OF S***!!! Sorry for the language but that's how it feels to be scammed by this guy.

Hey,this dude or whoever keeps calling me at work...I am from Florida..At first I thought he broke into my email or my bank account or something like that.....but then I realized that a company named Money Mutual that advertises a totally secure loan transaction isn't secure at all...I needed money pretty badly and filled an application....And now,I am suspecting that "Habib" got my info from them....They aren't making too much money,so they sell your personal info!!!Don't ever have business with them!!!
I don't know how the guy has my info or what he has on me....The first time a "lady" named Miss Jones called my work and left me a message that I was under some sort of a criminal investigation....Ok,when I call back, noone answers and the voicemail box is always full....So,I called the number about 10 times now, pretending to be a hindu myself....I talked to what seems 5 people,so the guy that goes by the name of Michael has some people who help him scam the people...Yea...I
made one lady so mad,she told me I will never find them.....because I told her I was coming for her and was going to kick her door in...And that I notified the authorities about this case...and they are investigating...Another "lady" told me that I had insufficient funds, was writing fraud checks, and if she didn't speak with a LEGAL representative or attorney then I had to go to court or get arrested. Then,I told her I was a law student myself, which I am not....So,she finally told me that she has all of my info and she will have me fired tomorrow....I am waiting....I work tomorrow and will probably get another harrasing phone call....I think I will call the police on this "mystery man" and let them deal with it...Please don't pick up the phone or tell the guy he has the wrong number...And don't fall for this s...t....I am so pissed off that some "HABIB" calls my job, putting my working there in jeopardy...Sorry,but jobs don't come around so easy these days...I will call the COPS on them and see what happens...

    Same as all you
So I got a call from these guys and they said I was going to go to court in Los Angeles. I am from Chicago and I said I wasn't going to any court anywhere because I never signed any papers. After a while they asked if I was briefed on the case. I said what case. He immediately said "Oh no, they didn't do their Job. Mr, you have a court date on the 17th to settle an amount that was deposited in your bank account. We tried to retract the funds but they were unavailable. I laughed because my bank never approved any funds and I have all my statements to prove it. So he said get yourself an attorney if you can't one will be appointed to you to settle this case. Then he hung up.

So I called them back and I asked to speak to someone on my case they found my last name and first name then said I am going to court and it's going to cost 6,000 dollars I laughed at him and said I am not paying anything. He said we'll see about that then I yelled at him and he said you can yell all you want but i'm going to hang up. I said prove to me all that you just said is going to happen. Why did I not receive any documents? He did not have an answer and hung up.

This is a complete scam.  The scammer that calls does not represent the payday loan company.  They will take your credit card or pre-paid card information and take your money.  Remember, collectors have to follow FDCPA guidelines and can not threaten immediate arrest or use profane language.  If you receive such a call contact the payday loan company directly.

I did and it was not the loan company that called me.  I was notified that this was a well know scam.

Call you local police but they may not take a report.  Best bet is to file a complaint with the FTC.

He uses the name Dean Jones as well. If you get a call from him, ask him for his Bar Association number. Since he claims to be an attorney.
I run the switchboard for a fortune 500 company and this guy calls all the time for different employees.
It is a scam according to the Ohio Attorney General's Office.

Contact your state Attorney General's Office and file a complaint.

I received a call from this number this morning .... the guy asked if I had a lawyer and I said no and he said then who is going to represent you in court?  I said I didn't know what he was talking about and he said "you don't know about this case?".  I said no and he transferred me to a woman that said her name was Angela Anderson to tell me about the cae.  They both had heavy accents and I was also threatened with court and then they threatened to arrest me.  They said that I owed $839.42 (on a loan that was originally $250) and that if I go to court I'll have to pay $8000.  She told me that to settle this for 250, I had to pay 100 today and 250 tomorrow and that I had to sent a notarized letter and told me what to write.  She said to include my name, address, social security number, a copy of my driver's license, my debit card information and security code and have it notarized and faxed to them.  She told me I had two hours to get that faxed to them.  That was an hour and a half ago ... glad I got on here and researched what was going on.  Also, when I tried to reverse look up the phone number, it is unlisted.  She wouldn't tell me the company information of the loan company and told me that they didn't want to talk to me.  Glad I know not to give them anything else now.  Thanks everyone for sharing your stories so the rest of us can avoid it!

It is definitely time to turn this over to an investigator because this male person with an foreign that you cannot understand and he speaks so fast that you can't keep up.  He called my daughter saying she owes for cash advance and she never has done this before.  He gave several different names:  Jack Jenkins, Mike, Brian O'Conner, James Robinson from Anderson Law & Associates; phone #s 818-746-3566, 209-916-2212.  My daughter & I were on conference call w/the fraudulent person and he refused to mail documents of his claim, started yelling & hung up 4 times because I stated by law he is required to send the info by mail and to speak slowly because I was writing all the information down.  He stated he had 3 counts against my daughter & she will be going to jail and to advise the two references and her job that he's sending an investigator.  At the beginning of the call he states "this call may be monitored or recorded & I inturn told him the same.  In total he has call my daughter's cell more than 10 times.  It's time for the Feds to lock this sucka up!!!  We are documenting every calls!!! He better give it up calling her #...he's most def messing with the wrong one.  Channel 6 Call for help will be notified....

These people are complete idiots!  I've gotten a minimum of 40 of these phone calls over the last few months.  They use American sounding names, but ALL have heavy Indian accents.  You would think after a couple of times they would realize that they are constantly calling the same person and not getting anywhere, but they just continue.  Don't waste your breath with them - they love to argue!  If I spoke their language I would have cursed them out by now.
