Caller claimed to be from Health Net - wanted to confirm details of coverage.

Received several calls from this number and id states Health Net Inc. Number is from Woodland Hills, CA. There is a Health Net Inc call center in Woodland Hills, CA  but their numbers are quite different from this number other than the area code. I contacted the Health Net call center (and the national company) and asked if they had this number in some part if their system. They both said NO. I left info on this # with them as a potential scam or identity theft call reference.

I got a call purporting to be from HealthNet and asking for my birth date.  I told them you tell me and I'll tell you if that is correct or not.   They hung up.  I believe they were phishing.

Call from Jessica G from Healthnet. Sounded legit but did not ask for DOB or other data.

I left message for health net to call.they said return call in less than 24 hrs. 818 884-9563 called about 10-15 minutes after i talked to automatic answering device at health net. I tried to answer lost call. When i tried to call back no answer just rings and rings. When i googled to try to find out who it was i discovered it could be scam to get info

It's legit because i called the main # 818 676 5000 and I got a call back from 818 884 9563.

We do have Health Net however when these people called they were asking about Home Remodeling...weird!

I received as call from this number and call Health Net directly to confirm that it was truly them calling.  After speaking to several departments, Health Net informed me that they did not call me and the number that called me is NOT a Health Net number.  Totally a scam do not provide them with any information!!!!

i've been receiving phone calls from this number and other numbers around the united states for months now. they just called again, i asked to speak to a supervisor and they screamed WHY lol and then i told them WHY and they just hung up. then i called health net's 1800 number and they said thats not a health net number.

It was legit for me. They confirmed changes that I had requested.

I got a call saying they want to verify my info.  They knew my first name, but asked me to give them my full name, birthday, and possibly social security number?  I said, "How do I know you're from Healthnet?"  They were polite and said that they I can refuse to participate if I don't feel comfortable.  Lady sounded very nice, but the fact that they couldn't give me my own info first sounded phishy to me.

THE REAL SCOOP -- This is NOT a scam.  These are LEGIT. HealthNet calls performing customer service.  I called HealthNet customer service and they confirmed this number IS a HealthNet number.  The rep told me that they did not have an in-house department to handle research and customer call-backs regarding their account issues, so HealthNet contracted with a research team to take care of this.  It is called the HealthNet ACA (Research) Solutions Team.  The HealthNet direct customer service rep I called was even able to tell me why the research team had called me -- it was to follow up on my phone call to Healthnet to inquire about a billing issue, and the Research Solutions Team was calling me back to confirm it had been corrected. They make three attempts before closing the issue.  They always left a message identifying themselves and leaving a call-back number.  On the third and final attempt to reach me, they stated they will send me a follow-up letter in the mail.  The Healthnet rep. told me that they opened their own in-house department to handle these issues now (in last week of Feb. 2016).  Hope this helps.

I received a call from this number today, caller Maria, identified herself from Health Net and also tried to verify name, dob, and address. She said she was calling about Well Women program. I called Health Net to verify this and they confirmed who called and why they were calling.

I received a call from this number today, the lady said she needed to talk to my husband and I, regarding that effective Sept. 1 of this year she was told to call and change our primary care provider because we need to go 30 miles from where we leave. She said that the health net office ask them to call. She knew my first and last name then she ask me to verify my day of birth and my address. I didn't give her the info she would not take no for an answer so I hang up. Then I call health net main line , they call my provider office and neither of them had a clue of this number. Then when I call the number back it just rang, rang, and rang.

Way to handle it! I did something similar but it was a longer conversation. I like your brevity!

It is a call-back number from Health Net. As a broker, I needed them to research a Case. They called back from this internal number with amazing same-day resolution. Thanks for great broker support. My client will appreciate it too!

The lady on the phone knew my last name and I verified my address and d.o.b. They called to verify a test and the result. I have a nurse friend who said it was possibly a scammers. Still a few days should health net computer called asking me the same information about test. Debating if I should call and verify the insurance really called.

Got a cell phone call from Inez claiming to be from Health Net Insurance asking about recent medical treatment.  Confirmed birthday and address. She asked about follow up  care with a primary care physician.  Then hung up.  Seemed odd. Checked the number and it appears to be a phishing expedition and now I am pissed.  Dirtbags.
