Caller (828) 542-4158 Just calls and doesn't say anything... I picked up and just got silence from the caller.  Apparently
just another unscrupulous Dbag who is after something.

same thing.  blocked it.

I just got a call from this number, too. I picked up and said hello and waited. It hung up after about 8 seconds without making a sound.

Pre-recorded message congratulating me on receiving a free medical somethingorother.  I "pounded" until the call dropped on their end.

Caller I.D. showed "Maggie Vly NC".  I answered and a recorded voice congratulated me on the "government" sending me a free medical alert system.  I refused to listen any further and hung up on them.

Preying on elders?  Free medic alert system, but costly monitoring.  Maybe a phishing attempt for personal info??
Caller disregards DoNotCall.

Same experience (on Friday, October 24 at 10:13 AM EST) as the poster Jethro whom I quote below

Got a call from this number. Silence for several seconds, then they hung up.

Came up Unknown. Didn't answer.  No message left.  BLOCK these SOBs.

None - did not answer it.

Got a call today from this number. Complete silence on the other end and then disconnected. I tried calling back but it gives a busy signal.

Called at 1:15 today. No message left.

same- just got a call.  i didnt answer and no message was left.

Just got a call from 8285424158 and they didn't leave a message.    

Caller hung up when I answered the phone (10/17/14 @ 3:30 PM EST).
I'm also on the National Do-Not-Call list.

Caller showed up as coming from North Carolina.  Didn't answer and didn't leave a message.  Won't be returning the call thanks to the messages here.
