Called, no message Caller ID reflected "Out of Area".

Got a call an hour ago, no message. Caller ID says Old Fort, NC.

Just got a call and a loud beep (like a fax beep) was on the other end.

...try this...pick up the call before it goes to your recorded message but do not speak-the caller should realize the line is open but they always wait for you to initiate the conversation-if someone speaks do not reply just let the open line continue til the caller breaks the connection...

...this will provide you with a fine sense of satisfaction and leave the caller wondering if they have a person or just an open connection-and, uncertainty is exactly what we want to throw back at these unwanted intruders

My solution:  Say 'hello', then push '1' during the recorded message.  That takes you directly to a person.  They will identify themselves.  Your response:  "Jane, you must be one sorry excuse for a human being to work for a company like this."  then hang up without waiting for a response.

The message is too quick for them to hang up.  A friend of mine - who is a shrink - tells me that this response is really VERY evil as it causes the caller to think poorly of their personal worth.

Who knows, maybe they'll say something nasty to their boss the next time they meet in the hall.

I got a call from Old Fort at 828-619-0612. It's a land line and the map shows it came from the area of Catawaba & Main St. , Said it was an none profit organination.  Called at 6:49.

Calls every other day.  Never leaves a message.

Who keeps calling from this number. They do not leave a message.

Just received a call . No message was left.

It's a "Google Voice" number....likely someone using it as "Spoof" number.   ie: Someone wanting soliciting money, collection agency, etc.

Just got a call from this number - VM left was an automated political survey.

That is probably the location of the phone exchange building the call came through.

I just got a call from the same number.  It was a robo call from American Future Fund.  They have called my number over and over from other phone numbers too.  I called them back on the same number that they called me from and asked to be removed from their calling list.  I do this everytime and I still get calls only from different numbers. Sucks that this happelns.  Should be some sort of law that this could happen over and over again

Iowa Senator Sandra Greiner is the President and Director of American Future Fund, which is a PAC in Iowa. They have been calling me almost every day for more than a month and they call several times a day. I saw some other posts that said they offered Target gift cards. There is some kind of survey where you're supposed to choose between Obama and Romney but the American Future Fund survey won't allow you to choose Obama as an option. They call from lots of different numbers. Don't bother asking to be removed. It will just verify your phone number as a valid number and they will call back--probably from a different number. I think it is illegal to robocall. Maybe that's partially why they keep changing their number.
