I received a call from this number. The person said that he was calling to notifiy me that the IRS has issued a warrant for my arrest for unpaid taxes.  I told him that he had the wrong person. I asked him what were the last four digits of my social security number and he could not give them to me.  He soon ended the conversation, saying that the cops would show up at my house to arrest me.

Same idiots keep calling me claiming to be from the United States Department of Treasury but won't tell me anything more such as where they are located.  I've called back 3 times, first 2 foreigners that answered wouldn't tell me their names, 3rd time he said his name was Jason Collins.  Yeah...okay.  Nice accent Jason.

Same story. Steve Martin was the name on my. Really creative. Maybe the unpaid taxes are from my kids that I never knew about???  Stupid con artists. At least have an accent that someone can actually understand.

I also got a call from Steve Martin and it was a recorded message because it repeated the message twice.  The message was "Hi this message is intended to contact you (oddly no name given).  My name is Steve Martin and I'm calling regarding enforcement action executed by the US Treasury intending the receiver's attention (again no name given).  Ignoring this will be an intentional 2nd attempt to avoid initial appearance before a magistrate judge or a grand jury for a federal criminal offense.  My number is 831-435-1054.  I'd advise you to cooperate with us and help us to help you."
I'm not a lawyer but if you were supposed to appear in court wouldn't you have gotten a subpoena or at least a letter informing you of this??  Also, if there is more than one person in your household -- wouldn't they state your name so you would know who they want to talk to?????

    My experience
Same story and my caller was none other than, .... Steve Martin (Steve was not a 'wild and crazy guy' but did have a very think Indian accent) and said he was calling from 831-435-1054 and that I had unpaid taxes with the Treasury Department and that the police will be on their way to my house to arrest me.  .....
So, the police would arrest me for defrauding the IRS?
And, I would get a phone call from the IRS?
Clearly the caller has never paid taxes in my country or is having a very different experience than I have, ......

Got the same call early this afternoon.  Actually, got three calls left on my voice mail.  Used the name of Steve Martin.  Did not say he was from IRS but implied it.  A definite scam.  He certainly was trying to scare the hell out of you.  Did not return phone.   Just ignore it.

Received a VM from 831 435-1054 stating that Steve Martin from US Treasury was contacting about a US Treasury enforcement matter. I had to listen to the message 3 times, as "Steve's" accent was pretty thick. Called from work, as I was pretty sure that this was crap. The phone was answered "Department of Affairs".  I asked where they were located and was told "the moon".  Cute.

    FBI - go get 'em!

    Please do something about this!
Received a call on my CELL - from Steve Martin a serious matter from the U.S. Treasury and if not answered a warrant for "my" (didn't say who) will be issued immediately.  When I called back I was told I was speaking with the U.S.Treasury Dept.  I asked them who they were calling since no name was given.  Then this fellow (who I could  hardly understand) said to give him my home number.
I refused without more info - he got angry and said I was going to be arrested.  Then he hung up.
What's wrong with people - ugh

Got a call from Jason, trying to extort $4,950 for back taxes from 2012.  I told him I was being scammed, and was going to report the call.  Yes, he said someone would arrest me and put me in federal prison for two years if I didn't pay before the end of the call.  I sure hope he doesn't have anyone take him up on it!

Was not aware I had a home phone
Same story, "Chris Evans" called saying: "This message is intended to contact you.  My name is Steve Martin and I'm calling regarding enforcement action executed by the US Treasury intending the receiver's attention.  Ignoring this will be an intentional 2nd attempt to avoid initial appearance before a magistrate judge or a grand jury for a federal criminal offense.  My number is 831-435-1054.  I'd advise you to cooperate with us and help us to help you."

Upon calling back, it turned out the guy wanted my father (who was the target of the call) to go pick up some tax thing at a local cvs without talking to anybody and then relay him the validation number or something.

Same old story. "Steve Martin" left the message. I called it back. The Indian accented woman on the other end threatened me with arrest if I did not cooperate. Obvious scam. They also call from 714-983-5676.
