- BarbaraIt is a scam just like the rest of them. They call me too and even called my mother. He told her there were arrest warrants out on me and I was going to jail. I do not owe any money and this is ridiculous. I called them back and they will not tell me the name of the company or any details. He used very fowl language. No debt collector talks to you that way and cannot give out the details he did to my mother. I called the police department like the other posts stated. They cannot do anything but it did make me feel better. Whatever you do do not give any money to these offshore scammers.
- rickI had the same experience as Barbara. It was a law firm in my case and it sounded legit because he said they were collecting for an online pay day cash advance company. Trouble is he wouldn't give me hardly any details but had all my personal information. The first funny thing was that the call went straight through to voice mail. So when I called them back that's what he told me he was representing. Told me to call back and speak to his senior attorney but never let me and made up some excuse as why I couldn't talk to the sr attorney. Also he kept telling me different names for the attorney he worked for. I followed up so far as to take it to my Jag office. They told me to ignore it also and never talk to them again. I haven't heard hide nor hare from them again. I know they were running some money scheme, but I've been checking my bank accounts and nothing has happened. I need to pull my credit reports and find what damage they are doing there. They seemed to have my personal information to identity theft me, but so far nothing like that has happened, thank God.

- Pissed in PhillyI just got a call from this company today when I got in from work they told me federal agents would be at my house on friday to pick me up and take me to jail. I asked him my information and all he could tell me was personal information he would not give me the number to the creditor and he would not give me my account number that they supposedly deposited money into so I called my bank and they looked up the number and told me it was a scam and to report it to authorities, so first thing in the morning I am calling and report them.

- sfgal1973| 1 replyI have been dealing with this same scam for 2 weeks now. I had to change my cell number, close my bank account, put a freeze on my credit through the credit bureaus, and I have reported them to the Atty. General's office. My next step is to report them to the FBI as the local police informed me that this is an international issue, and they do not have any jurisdiction outside the county or state. I recommend you do the same. Good luck to you!

- danielI just recieved a call from my workline from some woman calling herself mike. It sounded like a prank because the person spoke in such broken english it sounded funny. She stated if I didn't call back "good Luck". It definately sounded like a carribean accent but I can't wait to get them on the phone the number she left is bogus. Doesnt even ring.
- PhoenixI had them calling from a 916 number but the call back number was an 831 number with a lot of similarities listed under other people, they threathen jail time and a fine of $8,000 when the court fees are done. They almost had me until they asked me to write a letter with my information and have it notirized saying that I would not dispute them taking money out of my account. I started asking questions about the lender, the amount of the original loan and the date of original loan. She got all huffy with me and told me that she already told me she didn't have any of that information and I wouldn't have access to that information until the case was closed. That's when I started looking into them and then called a law firm. They told me to call the Fraud dept of the police dept and consumer affairs. The attorney's office they mentioned does not exist as far as I can tell. I have contacted every company I had an online payday loan with and none of my loans are through instacash. They called me again this morning saying I needed to fax in this letter or they will take me to court on Monday. I believe they have to give me time to dispute it before they take me to court, which I plan on doing. If there is some chance that I took a loan that i forgot about then I decided it would be worth the risk of more fines to find out more information about why I am being sued because i didn't take a loan from these people. My next step is to contact Fraud dept and check my credit report to see what damage they have done.

- BarbaraI kept getting calls so I called back and told them to stop calling. I told him I knew the scam and would not be paying a dime. They needed to call some other poor soul because they were wasting their time and energy. I was speechless when he said ok and was not rude. He took my number and said they would not call. To my surprise they have not called. We shall see if it lasts. This time was very different from all the other times I called.

- Jen replies to sfgal1973I had the same call. His name was Norman. He said he was an attorney and he was screaming and yelling at me because "if you do not hurry the police will be at your door" and then he stated my address. He said I owed thousands of dollars to INSTACASH. He would not give me any info about him but he had all my info. Name, DOB, Address, Last 4 of my checking account, and rattled off some routing number so fast that I could not understand it. I have notified the local police but I don't know what else to do.
- Miss MississippiThese people called me taling crazy about I owe them money for a loan that I got from Instant Cash. They say that I owed $3,476.00. I told them that they were lying. They stated that I needed to go to the police department and all types of crap. I asked for a supervisor and he continued to talk crazy and I went off on him. He eventually hung up the phone and I haven't been able to contact them since. A lady had even called and left a message on my phone. The number showed up as 0000 on the called ID.
