He's a scammer.  Contacted me about an item I had on Craig's List.  Sent me a check for more than 6 times the value.  Said the extra was to cover shipping.  What a joke.  Don't trust him!

He is texting me now.  Wants to send me a check from Houston, TX for the bedroom set I have advertised on Craigslist.  He says his name is Ellis.  Any suggestions how to handle it?

Thanks for the heads-up.  I got his text page and I was able to play along with it thanks to your blog.  I asked how much his check would be and he stated that it would cover the movers and shipping.  I let him know that would be his responsibility.  His name was Ellis from Houston, TX.

This clown also contacted me out of craigslist.

His phone is out of tx, but he claimed to be somewhere else.

I just received a text regarding a vehicle I have posted on Craigslist; said he wants to buy he'll send a certified check and wait for it to clear my bank before he proceeds with pick up. Wanted my name and address; this seemed fishy so I googled his number and found these posts - thank you!

He is doin same to me right now for a vehicle saying their will b an extra 500 for western union for movers....I've already gave him my name and address and o just now saw this .......

(823) 237-8106 called and left a message on my voicemail. When I called to see who was calling, I recieved a recording telling me to leave a message at the tone and that it was the FBI Narcotics Division. LOL
