Have received numerous call from this "unregistered" number on my cell. I do know that the 832 area code is for cell numbers in the Houston, TX area. No voice mail ever left. I do not recognize the number and will not answer. May be someone spoofing caller ID.

The caller appears to be located in the Houston, Texas area.

The caller never leaves a voice mail.

This caller appears to use multiple phone lines.

The multiple phone lines include 832-463-2957, 832-463-2897 and 832-463-2961.

They called me today while at work and tried to make it like I was the one they where asking about.  The man was aggressive and kept saying i agreed that I was the person who they where trying to reach.  Insisting I was and kept referring to a recording and his manager.  I finally hung up.  He was so rude.

They have been calling me for months now. I had no idea who it was. They are threatening to file a 1099C on a debt that dates back to 1995.  

Do not answer the call, do not acknowledge the debt! It is on them to prove you owe it!

They claim I owe a debt from 16 years ago, when I was 16?? Not possible. Scammers trying to collect money.

keep calling and when i answer it is dead air.

They called me today and tried to get me to pay a $1,463 debt from 1988 from a credit card I've never had!!!! They threatened me as well with a 1099c. I told them this was not my debt and to not call again. She said they were just trying to "help me." <eyes rolling in the back of my head.> Finally, she said that she would go ahead and list me as a "refusal to pay." Whatever dude!

The collector more than likely makes straight commission off those who agree to pay. Refusal to pay means he's now working for free. Knowing he's working for free could be "his" reasoning for the aggression, threats and scare tactics. My suggestion is to educate yourselves with the lawful practices of debt collection and your rights. Don't hesitate to file a complaint with the TX Attorney General, Better Business Bureau, and other related consumer agencies.  

Now I just started receiving calls from the same number, 832-463-2957, the last two days. It's irritating because the person calls  2-3 times and hangs up. I use CreditKarma to track my credit/debt and stay on top of all my bills so I KNOW for fact I DO NOT have anything outstanding. So why the hell is a dirty ole bill collector calling me?!?!  

Thank you all for your posts, and thank you Adam, for listing the additional numbers. I've added the numbers to my cell phone. I have the YouMail voicemail app on my Android phone. I'm setting the greeting for these numbers to display a busy signal after placing them on my reject caller list.

Tell them to send you something writing, and if they do send a letter you can write them back to stop calling and don't send any mail to your house.  Also them you talk your state attorney office.  They when then have to stop calling your house.

This is located in Houston, Texas and is a collection agency.

Just called me and left no voicemail but it's the same company.  I checked my call log and they also call from the following numbers in case you want to add them to your auto-reject list along with Adam's numbers from above:  832-463-2899, 832-463-2929, 832-463-2959, 832-463-292.  They just started calling me 02/09/2015.

They ask for me ...and wanted money....I said nope and hung up...

don't know who it is, but they never leave a message. number is 832-463-2961. I have them blocked on my phone. they are very persistent. been calling for 2 or 3 years now...everyday. when I get a voicemail from them, all I hear is a room full of foreigners talking, and phones ringing. don't know if its Arabic or indian...maybe [***].

Lol they keep calling,  I went to a seminar like a year ago about debt and the biggest thing out if it was "you can't take your debt with you when you die". So with that said you guys will eventually run out of numbers to call me from and 7 years is approaching quickly.  :) cheers
