Just got a call from this number--someone named Roger Reed from the IRS office stating I was being sued for back taxes.  Funny how almost everyone else in my family has also received this same phone call.  Boiler room operation--hope no one falls for this old scam.  Did they somehow acquire all of Sprint, AT&T, etc. cell phone number lists?  Everyone I know has been contacted on their cell phones.  One of my sons--with a different address, last name, and cell phone carrier, got the same call from the same "Roger Reed". IRS will never contact anyone about back taxes on the phone.

We received the same message from 844-210-4555 shows up as the number but they tell you to call number and ask them for their "headquarters physical address" they hang up.  I doubt the IRS wouldn't know their own address. This is definitely a scam - beware and tell them nothing

I missed picking up our land line at 8:40 am this morning and my cell at 8:42 a.m.  A message was left on my cell to call back (844) 210-4555 stating I have broken Federal Tax Code 61331X to call back.  I called back and spoke with two Tax Officers: Adam Wilson, Badge No.  W2995 and Shawn Taylor, Badge No. DM-75.  They are stating I am being sued  by the Tax Fraud HQ Office in Washington DC for tax evasion and started to read an Affidavit to me stating I have no criminal record but I owe for 2006 through 2012 back taxes owed i $6,400.95 according to their audit plus another $85,000.00 as a penalty.  They represent Attorney James O'Conner.  I have 19 minutes to pay in person or they will file with the local IRS Office & Police and will be coming to arrest me in 2 hours.  My Case No. C-S-E 2218.  I stated I have no idea what they are talking about and cannot or walk drive due to an accident.  I also stated I should have received a hard copy of the notice.  They stated a notice was mailed via First Class Mail in January 2014 and I did not reply.  I have no record of one.  They also stated that they tried serving in person in April 2014 and no was home, they left a yellow slip on my door and took a picture of it and still no reply from me.  I told them to my knowledge no yellow slip has been posted on my door and they both stated I was lying and they have proof because of a photo taken with the yellow notice on my door.  I told them I cannot pay the amount or fine in 19 minutes. They stated in 2 hours I will be arrested and detained for 48 hours and taken to the Federal Court House and then hung up.  I have always paid my taxes and this phone process does not seem to me to be legal nor right.  They are stating my wages will be paid direct to them, my home taken away, and my car taken away. I am self employed as a Notary so be my guest---I do not believe this is right.  They hung up on me.  Both had India foreign accents, very rude, threating and demanding.  I got told I am being arrested for fraud, tax evasion, misrepresentation, etc.

I also just got a call from someone claiming to be with the IRS and asked if I had a criminal attorney because I was being sued for back taxes.  I told him that was a lie and this is a scam and hung up. Their phone# is 844-210-4555. Don't answer any calls from this number or hang up once they start talking.  It is all lies and a scam to scare you and take your money.

Got a call this morning from someone claiming to be with the IRS.  Not a very clear message and sounds like a person from India.  States if I do not call a certain number I will be arrested.  Come get me, I need a vacation.  What a crock of crap!
