Company called to tell me they are trying to collect 2 debts before it goes to court. The caller would not state debt collectors names or their companies name. Caller identified himself as Tom Gomeoloin.

I called them back after they left the message saying if we do not hear back from me 2 people will stop by my residence or place of work to give me papers to appear in court. I asked what 2 debt companies are these but they wanted my SSN first to verify me as me. I refused until after they tell me information. They refused. Said have a nice holiday and hung up.

Is this a legitimate company?

Do you know if they are real or not?  Got the same call

Scam alert my mom gets threatening calls from these folks they call from unknown number but give this number to call back.

Did you do anything else other than calling them? Did they say Legal One Services and gave a claim # ?

just got a call the person said his name was Steve Robin and if i fail to call back he would come on my job and my home.
I call back and and ask for this Steve Robin, the rep said he did not know anyone ask for my last ssn I refuse while I had him on the phone i look on the web site and find this information I ask his name and the name of his company .He he refuse.I Told him i was reporting them to the bbb.Because a real collector giver you his name and the company name and dont hesitate.  

Iv have gotten these calls for a few days the first time was amanda then I talked to tom he had all my info and it seemed to make it seem real as far as I know he told me I had one day to pay or get sent to court but the next day someone else called saying they were coming today and to pay then I called tom he said I had more time I tried calling the company that he said it was collecting for but no call back yet anyone else get any more proof?

Got a message yesterday from Steve Roberts/Robin, stating that he was coming to my home or place of employment.  Called from an unknown number and gave me another 800 number to call.  Told me that I had been notified.  I hope he shows up somewhere I am, he will leave on a stretcher...

I got the same call from a Amanda Peterson saying there's a claim on me that there comming to my house and work if I don't call back. Well good luck with that legal one scam. Come to my work. I work with lawyers dumbasses. Lol.

I got this call as well.... First, if you a a debt collector, you must state that you are and that you are attempting to collect a debt. Personally, I take this as a threat. No debt collector can show up at your home or your office. That's harassment. Come on, show up at my house and you can be paying off any of my old debts as well as all my future ones.

I've gotten 2 voice messages already from this Steven Roberts who is coming to serve me at my house or place of employment and to call these #844-278-8170 to take of these matter hahahaha come serve me [***]

I got one to saying he is coming out today to serve me. I wrote a bad check 3 years ago took care of it 6 months after the fact. they said it never got taking care of. i said [***] i did. the amount of the check was 86.00 for a tire. they said the amount was 113.00 what ever. i like him to come on my land i have 4 dogs that wont let him on. if they are real they would mail me something. I told them way in the world is this coming up 2 1/2 years later. and you have the wrong amount on check .

got 2 calls from this number and "amanda peterson". these people need to be stopped!

A  Miss Amanda Peterson called about serving papers going to my home and/or job. She had info from a loan in 2013.  Something about a bad check and owing a balance.  I keep the voice mail. Caller ID has unknown caller, but she left the number mentioned. Some one called in Jan. about a claim'  A Marie from Claims department left message on voice mail.Caller Id has a 702-425-7120 but she gave the 844-526-7213 to call.   Miss Peterson with NCR out of Lawrenceville GA.  Is this legit?

Who are these people.  It seems consistent with the above calls.  I had a call from Legal One services Amanda  Williams with  a blocked number claiming to be from there.  When I looked for Legal One services.  they did not have an Amanda Williams working their. Further I don't a company blocking their number how do you know they are real.  She was alleging a small claims service which is highly unusual that anyone pays that money when mail will do the same thing.   Does sound like a scam

yes it just happened to me too, they called left a message saying call them back with claim number: and that i was going to be served at home or work: Talked to local courts, they said if one was going to be served, they would not call you first.

I got two calls back-to-back, same experience as all of you. Be careful when applying for home loans through brokerages like Lending Tree or other group mortgage companies. Recently I applied through the Trulia website so I'll bet they sold my information.
