These are idiots working from a new start...Bad time to start sending robo calls at Christmas....ingot these losers.

Says they are DCA, atleast the robotic voice did on the message I got. gave number to call and said they were the DCA, or mail them in Toronto. I should have wrote down the address cuz funny thing is there is a DCA collection agency in Toronto. But the phone number is totally different! So I call SCAM these people probably bought decades old debts and are trying the scare people out of money. I say they are not the DCA just using the name its a number located in the United States they want you to call back! Why not their toll free number?

VERY ANNOYING, been trying for Years to get these idiots to stop calling for this person as I don't even know her. Ive had the same phone # since 1986.  Just now they left a message leaving their address 1200 Eglinton Ave. East unit 704 Toronto ON. I'd be courious if they are asking everyone for the same person????????  Tried blocking these tits but they just change numbers, talking to them has ZERO effect, oh yeah it entertains them they will ask for a different person next time.

Same thing... multiple calls.  Researching some stuff around wrong number credit calls.  It seems the US has laws around multiple calls to the wrong person.  #1 Does anyone know if such a law exists in Canada.  #2 Anyone want to join in a class-action lawsuit to try to get these companies to stop the 'robo-calls' and actually perform some due diligence to call who they are supposed to be calling and not harass people that don't owe anything.

You can call the CRTC, they will ensure that the agency will stop calling the wrong number, but only if it is a wrong number. If they have the correct number, then they are calling with cause, and there are very specific rules allowing them to do so.
Also, you will have repeat for every agency that this person has debt with, they are not allowed to update each others info.

I actually talked to a person. Said I had a debt with Bell Canada from over 15 years ago, file number and all. I told him he was full of it cause I didn't use bell back then and that I could prove it. He said PRA Canada bought the debt and I owed them. I told him to prove the address and he couldn't. Call came in on Nov. 6 2015

The person said this was a called from a death agency that I have a debt of 160.00 and nobody died in my family so all I can think of is that they took my name after paying a hospital bill in the USA.  There is no balance so this is a scam to try to get more money.

This DCA. A collection agency. If you owe money from long time ago find out what the statue of limitations are in your province/state. If you have not acknowledged or made any payments on the debt then know your rights first. This company buys zombie debts for pennies on the dollar. Any money they get from you is pure profit. Do not talk to them, give any personal info or return any calls. Get a good call blocking phone. If they are trying to collect a debt from eons ago that is past the statue of limitations then they are breaking the law. Do not be fooled by their voice message stating you to call back with the court reference number they leave on your answering machine. That is just a scare tactic to get you to respond and give them money and restart the collection clock again. They cannot sue you if the debt is past the statue of limitations. Check your credit report. If there are no collections on there then you cannot be forced to pay anyone. Be careful not to list your work number on the credit report or when applying for credit. They will use this information to harass you. Bottom line do not talk to them or acknowledge any debt.

Well I blocked every number they used for me; now they are using 011 84 4 4822168 on caller ID, looks as it's coming from Europe, I have people in EU so I picked up thinking something happen and it was DCA! Tricky [***]!! These people ask info n someone I don't know, saying they are the Gov, revenue Canada and they had a check that was returned so they are trying to located the right address of that person so they can post the check again, yeah, right!!! Like the gov will run after us to give us money! DCA must think we are stupid, AND highly illegal to pretend to be the gov!!!!

Look up statue of limitations in your province. It does vary but after 6 years the debt is gone but still on your credit report. BUT if you write these scammers with all your info, that opens the file again. BEWARE! That's why they give you a mailing address. I put the word SCAM to their number on my phone and just disconnect them with they call. Has anyone ever contacted DCA to tell them that their name is being used in fraudulent ways?

this company is getting to be annoying calling me and i'm not in dept

This number, 844-482-2168 and 888-395-1147, keeps calling day after day and several times a day and evening. Both numbers are connected with what the Robo call says is DCA. From the complaints I have read online and the charges that have been brought against this company it puzzles me as to why the authorities have not shut them down. I tried filing a complaint with the CRTC but a Canadian phone number is required and both of these numbers are USA. I filed a complaint with the RCMP Fraud Div. but have not rec'd any response. Even though I have the calls blocked the phone still rings once or twice all hour of the day and evening. The company apparently just ignore the court charges against them and keep harassing ppl.

They call me all time it gets so scary at times and they ask me for a specific name who I have no clue who it is

why do they phone and when you say hello there is nobody there?
