stated a suit had been filed against my name and soc security number and a processor from my local police dept either missed me at home or place of employment.

I had the same message...have you ever had a payday loan?  Even if you made a settlement arrangement they come after you and call incessantly.  I've filed a complaint with the state attorney generals office.  If a legal claim had been filed, they would not be leaving a phone message and a toll free number to call back.

I just got the same message, has to be a scam as in PA they are not legal, payday loans that is.  I'm also at work and noone has come here....god bless them if they came to my house, they would be trespasisng and the police would be called immediately.  # actually appeared on my cell as 303-330-0995 and from that number there are also posts of how this is a scam or skype nuber.

I get a call every day from these people. I am so over it. I have contacted my lawyer and also turn this over to the state attorney generals office. I don't do payday loans so this needs to stop.

This is a scam. I had the same scenario about 6 months ago where they even went so far as to contact and harass my loved ones. My sister finally believed me that it was a scam and told them exactly where they could put their allegations. They stopped after she threatened to call the police herself.

This number has called my work, my niece & never my own phone number they threaten that you missed court etc I called the number back & left a message stating not to call my job or my loved ones & that what they are doing is ILLEGAL very irritating....

I received a call from this # and 310-299-0275 he said his name was Mr. Johnson.  He said he would give me a fair deal and for me to give him my credit card.  I was asking him questions and he was like...Hey, I cant give you that information.  If he has all my information and I supposedly filled out an application, I should be able to get a copy of what I signed???  I called the companies he stated I owed money to and no one answered on 2 #'s but the corporate company he stated Chase Bank....when I spoke with them they stated they had no record of any transactions from me during that time period, that they dont even associate with the company that the guy stated I owed money to.

This is sooooooo disturbing on how someone could have all your information and try to get money from you. Threatining you that you can get arrested and serve jail time!!!!  Once I told him that I wasn't paying him today and that I needed more information,  he hung up on me.

I got a call from 9102162382 saying A complaint has been filed against my name and social security number and I missed court and something about a subpoena or warrant... this was to my job.... im a nurse and were assigned cell phones daily... when I called the 844 number,  they didnt recognize my name or number... or the number they called... The woman answered "legal department" and I asked her several times the name of the company she wouldnt answer but kept askin for my social security number.  Of course I was skeptical about that so she blew me off saying it was probably a wrong number since my name/number didnt pull anything up...

Received called from caller ID 323-498-3317 stating some legal division that I was suppose to appear this morning for a claim filed against my SSN. They will serve me at my home or work. Im so over these people.

This is SCAM from a debt collector! I started receiving calls from this number and the number (407) 337-0067 on my personal cell, work cell, and work phone. Yesterday they left a message telling me that a police officer was at my home and that I missed a court date. I called them back and didn't give my name, just asked why they were calling me all the time. The guy was immediately rude and attacking me. I didn't give him my name or anything, just asked him "Who are you?," "What is your company?," "What is your address?". Those are the only things I kept asking him. He wouldn't respond, just that he was with "court mediators." I asked for their address and specifically asked if they were a debt collector, which he declined. He then went on, saying that I was in no position to make demands, when I asked for his name and the address of the company. He said that I "stole money from his client." He threatened that he would "send someone out to get me right away." I then just hung up on him. So here are a few things: This IS a debt collector. They are NOT court mediators. They did NOT sent anyone to your home. Courts don't call you on your phone and mediators, by definition, don't have "clients." These debt collectors want to scare you. They lie and terrorize you. That is what they do. The worst thing you can do to them is just hang up. That's what I did.
