I would like to know the name of the company that is calling me from this number

I just received the same call.  They even left a message. Which said, " this is an important message from JDS legal services.  We have received a claim against your social security number in regards to check fraud."   Bottom line........MASSIVE SCAM.  Rule of thumb, if you don't recognize a number....don't' answer the call.

Got a message the other day, (automated voice) stating that a claim has been placed in my county for check fraud.  Say's this is Arrow Tech.  it does not give a phone # but rather tells you to press 8 to speak to a representative.  Curiosity killed the cat, so I pressed 8, I got a guy named Ike Clark w the Law Office of Daniel VanGuard.  Says it is re: CashnetUSA for check fraud of $1500.00.  Funny how a $400.00 debt evolved into $1500.00.  I asked him for his mailing address and phone # and that I would pull my records and get back to him.  He proceeds to give me attitude and refused to give me any info.  He threatened to garnish my wages on which I replied that according to the FTC you cannot garnish social security wages.  Upon which his attitude escalated telling me that this does not apply to stealing money.  And boasting that yeah we caught you, etc etc.  Kept telling me that if I don't make settlement arrangements now that he will be sending a county sheriff to my home with a court summons and kept asking me if I was going to be home between 10 and 11 am today.  I told him to go ahead and hung the phone up.  It's been 5 days and noone has shown up yet.  Totally unprofessional and crude.  Everyone be careful, there is a new breed of scammers out there that pose as collectors, investigators and law offices and law enforcement.  I find it interesting that these people want to verify your address and want to know if you will be home etc and then ask permission to come out to serve a summons.  Folks, that's not how it works at all.  Believe me if law enforcement wants you they have no trouble at all at tracking you down.

We got exact same message. My husband called back,  the guy on the other end asked if we had a case number. Hubby said no but wouldn't tell him his name. The guy asked if he was "Terry Jackson". Could be a fake name. It has been said before but bears repeating: If you don't recognize the number, don't answer the phone and don't call it back before checking it out!

I got a call as well from this number, 844-805-4497, and had the same pitch thrown at me. It is a scam.

This number keeps calling me about check fraud which is weird considering I'm ONLY A MINOR with no bank account or checking account. The only money I've ever used besides cash is my dad's credit card. I knew something was wrong when they said that me, a teenager, was being summoned for check fraud. Luckily I've never answered this number but I do receive voicemails from them at least once a week.

I just received a call from this number as well. They did not say who they were or where they were calling from but the message said that I needed to contact them back immediately regarding "stolen merchandise attached to my name and social security number." Needless to say, I did not call them back and I blocked this number from calling me since the iPhone's now have a "Block Contact" feature. This has SCAM written all over it!!

Do not ever confirm any information to a company that is trying to tell you owe a bogus bill.They obviously do not know and are relying on you to provide and confirm.  Any reputable debt collector will follow the law which is they must provide all documentation to you in writing and who the original company is you owe. This company is a fraud. The sad thing is they will prey on the unsuspecting and will get money from them. I will be filing a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and those who get this call should do the same. Enough complaints and  the FTC will go after them.

I got message from 8448054497. Saying something about stolen merchandise being associated with my name and ss#. It's a scam. I don't steal....we all need to contact the FTC. My daughter being young and innocent she fell for a scam a month or so ago. They ran her phone bill up cause it was an international number. Plus she sent them money. They  her she had won 1000's of $$$. They had her send
them a fee through western union. That # is 8764181905

Got a call from I guess 844-805-4497, this was the number in the voice mail. Said something about 3 returned items from my checking account, and if I did not call them back, they would assume it was done intentionally, and that they would process it as grand theft and contact the local law enforcement.. Oh, when the call came inn, they had the number blocked...it said blocked call :)

I had that happen to me and they keep on calling me those stupid moreons

they just call me from this number stating they came to my apartment and attempted to summon me some papers is this a real scam

I just received a call from this number about my brother that is 1500+ miles away from me. They gave no information except a contact number and stated that they had to serve him a summons and I was given as a contact. Not to mention its like 7 am my time when they called. So Thank you everyone for the information you have provided I will be blocking this number.

They left me a v/m saying pyramid resolution resources

I just got a phone call from a restricted number and on the voicemail was a lady with a weird accent saying that something about my mom's ss# and that she needed to get an attorney. she also stated that she will be around in a few days with a summons. It was very hard to understand but she said to contact this 844-805-4497 number and give them a reference number. This is scary.

No need to fear. These people are nothing more than scam artists. Nobody calls and warns you that you're about to be served a summons

they called me, I did not answer. they called back again from an unknown number and left voice message. Andria smith .Said they are calling in regards to a fraudulent claim in their office against me and my social security number. told me to contact them or have my lawyer contact them. she said the companies name is National Processing services
