Claims to be coming with summons to my house or work. I believe this is a scam. Do not give them any information!

Man named Christopher Powell from "legal caring services" called and said I was going to be summoned at my house or work in the next 24 hours and to be ready with two forms of ID, and then threatened with a failure to appear to court charge if I did not comply with information. This is most definitely a scam: Do not give out any personal information!!! Control the conversation and make them prove to you they know who you are, get as much information from them as possible and file a complaint with the FTC.

Received a call from a Christopher Powell at Legal Caring Services threatening to come to to my home or place of work with a summons. I'm receiving this on my work line and I do believe this is a scam. The number left was 5856450070. Also, they never addressed me specifically. I would not recommend calling this person back or giving any contact information whatsoever.

Returned call, rep immediately scripted off an attorney. I explained I've run collections and she immediately put "an attorney " on the phone. I explained that I owe nobody and asked who's claim it is. He became argumentative to which I asked if he was impersonating an attorney. He then got very upset. Through out the call neither representative would tell me the c,ompany name. So I hung up

I just received the exact same call from Christopher Powell.  I did not pick up and after reading these comments and some others I will not call back and waste my time.  Thanks for the info.

Received a call also from christofer powel, fictitious "SOB" Same message I got from him. Off course,  I Googled the phone number that was given (844-809-8788)  And sure enough, it's a Scam! MAHALO!  OUT THERE' For the Info...Kk

I just received a call and message from phone number 844-809-8788

I do not owe any debt as well as have life lock and review everything on my credit card report etc.

I am writing this to others who may look up this number.

I called the local police and made a complaint so there is record of this in addition he / they call from different numbers - it's been noted and recorded. They are to submit any item they have to me in writing which they never have and to stop calling me; again which they continue to do.

Further look into a class action lawyer - enough complaints and a class action suit is filed and they are sued; which for these scammers would be a great pay back for the fear and scam they impart to hard working consumers.

Received the same message from Christopher Powell, as well as several other similar calls from Diana Morgan and Traci Lennon.   These scammers use different phone numbers.  Glad to have found others who have had similar problems.  Thanks for the info, and this is definitely a scam!!!  Already reported to FTC.

Just got same message on my work cell line . Called the number back and there is no voicemail . Also his voicemail was not addressed to the company or to any specific person sounds like a scam to me

From reading the other posts this is certainly a scam. Recommend ignoring, if you were really going to be issued a court summons, you would not be warned.

Just received the same call from Mr. Powell.........Memo to Mr.Powell Stop wasting your energy and go get a real job!!!

Received a similar call this morning. Was a recorded message from Legal Caring Services. Two forms of IDs. Did not identify who in the household was being served. My recollection is that he said the summons would be served in the next two hours and that I should be home. Caller ID showed (844) 809-8788. The number stated if I have a complaint was (844) 809-8088. Thank you all for posting your reports on this site. It sure helped me to relax.

Definitely a scam... Got the same call today from Mr Powell and the voice mail was exactly as described in this post.

Received voice mail from this Christopher Powell with Legal Caring Services (1-844-809-8788) a few minutes ago.  Again as with everyone else, he says he has a Summons in hand for me (does NOT say my name) ...." he is scheduled to go out to my home or place of employment in the next 24 hours... please make myself available with 2 valid forms of ID.  If served at work, a Supervisor or head of security will need to be available to sign off as a witness."  "Failure to sign for the Summons could result in a missed court appearance..."     This idiot is reading from a script, and is scamming good people...  

This is NOT a LEGITIMATE BUSINESS.....

PEOPLE:   if a legitimate summons server is needing to serve you, THEY DO NOT CALL FIRST !   They just show up and serve you !!!!  

Just received a call from an [***] named Christopher Powell. Couldn't even tell me my name or address. Told him I am contacting these from a previous post. Nothing but crickets.... Hung up on me.
