I did not answer but 845-575-3774 was reported as an opinion company on Oct. 7. Call came in at 9:50 PM. If it happens again I will report them. I am headed to NY maybe I should visit them and see what they want!!

Got a call from 845-575-3775 6:35 on October 12 , a husky-voiced woman saying they were conducting a very important survey from "Marris College" in Florida on opinions of Florida residents. When I asked why her number showed Poughkeepsie, NY on my phone, she rushed to get off the phone. What gives? Can someone find out why she seemed so flustered and dishonest?

I got this call, too... except it sounded like a man and he only identified that he was from "Marris" or "Merrill" college and was conducting an important survey about cell phone usage. When he asked if there was someone over 18 that he could speak to, I said no and he politely hung up. Hopefully that will take me off their list!

Got a call from them. If they are doing a survey on cell phones then it makes sense that they would call cell phones. Would be nice if they gave some sort of info when you called back other than "we are conducting a survey for <muttering>, please leave your name and the original number we contacted you at so we can <more muttering> *beep*"

Cell phone survey and I told him it's by the minute on my phone. Please don't call.

I have gotten calls from 845-575-3775 two nights in a row...looks like it is from NY?  I'm a call screener and haven't answered, but did google the number.  It appears someone is out breaking the rules, as I am on the 'do not call' list!

Third time they called me. Fed up. Wish they'd quit it.

Got a call from the 845-575-3775 ...told they were conducting a cell phone survey.... hung up when I said I was not 18.

I got a call from them on my land line tonight.  Didn't answer as I'm a screener, as well.  Next time I'll remind them that I am on the "do not call" list.  I'm sure they'll promptly slam the phone down and call again later in the day.  @@

Why is it nobody here knows what the do not call list is for? It applies only to telemarketers, and nobody else. Not pollsters, politicians, your mother, your ex-girlfriend, or anybody else.  See here, item 30: http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/alerts/alt107.shtm.

I was called and it's a survey, not a telemarketer as you indicated.

They called again, and I took the survey. It was long, lots of questions, but was a legitimate survey (about living conditions, government, politics and the economy in New York State), unlike some calls I've received that were just an excuse to draw you into a sales pitch for a cruise or something.  Those are not legitimate and should not call you.  You might not like to hear from surveys, but legitimate ones like this are not required to honor the do not call list.  You probably could ask them to not call again if you really don't want to talk to them.

these people keep calling me, when i answer, no one is there.  i am tired of this s***   if a person is ever actually on the other end of the line i am going to chew them out.  this is creepy!

Started getting this number on my cell phone last two days- they call after hours - just says NEW YORK (I am in Texas)  8:55pm CDT right now. After reading these notes - appears to be a survey on cell phones. They need to GO AWAY - I am also on DO NOT CALL list.  Just Declined it on my cell - will see if they call back again.

Nice diversion!  You are full of crap- if they were truly a "survey company" from "Marist College", they would identify themselves as such.  Why would a college from New York be calling residences in FL. about Cell Phones?  REALLY people- wake up! Scam!  The call is really from South Africa (the epicenter for online and phone scams) with the technology to fool you with fake caller ID's.  Everyone wake up and take this serious!  There are e predators out there waiting to steal your money and others.  DO NOT TAKE THESE CALLS LIGHTLY!  THEY WILL SEE YOU AS WEAK AND YOU WILL BE SET UP FOR MORE INTELLIGENT SCAMS IN THE FUTURE!  This was a trial version.  Fight the scammers!

Got two calls today from this NY number. Didn't answer and they didn't leave a VM.

got a call from #845-575-3775... on 5/24/12 calling twice @6 & 7p.m. did not answer this call. Received this call from Las Vegas, NV
