Says he's from Kane County Police department looking for a donation. Hung up real fast after I said I wasn't interested in donating. I'm sure it's a SCAM!!!

same here says kane county police asked for badge says hes not an officer or affiliated???   Scam for sure

Telemarketer - Claim to be wanting donations for Vietnam Veterans ...Asked to be able to send information out .  Told them NO !  call 2-3 time per  day - very annoying    Shows up as Park Ridge, IL on caller ID .  HAVE TOLD THEM NO NUMEROUS TIMES AND TO REMOVE US FROM LIST ! FILING COMPLAINT WITH FTC !

SCAM...  Not only trying to get donations for veterans, but then called for local police department.  Might be a call center, might be pure scam. Defiantly not affiliated with any group directly as they HUNG UP when I said I work for the VA hospital.

These are useless pieces of waste who not only suck our time and cause frustration but they are probably also sucking every penny they get from our Guvment that we payinto as responsable citizens. To the caller, who will never see this, FGY then get a life.

Call came in - identified as calling from Park Ridge, IL by voice....no response to "hello"

Called several time and when I answer they hang up.. or they say the are collecting donations for VA, DuPage and Kane county Seriff departments..

called back, says unavailable or unable to take calls try again later. Probably [fairly positive it is someone attempting to ascertain times we are at home] so they can setup an entry and or robery. They also said they would play me like a trombone like on the homosexual cartoon Chosen so im sure they are pee pee smoochers, regardless of who they are!

Same here they said they were collecting for gay policemans association, which ive never heard of!

Never leaves message. Other posters say this number is used by people soliciting donations for a myriad of alleged charities.

Calm down people. It's a call center collecting donations for various charities. I've donated to a few of them and passed on a few. It's not that serious.

This is a scam call from a person claiming to be from The Illinois Firefighter's Association. He asked for a donation of $30-$35. I told him no and hung up.

Then why wouldn't they say anything when I answer?
