Called the number back it is ABC Distributing or LTD Commodities when I answered the phone I received a busy signal.

Got a call from 847-444-2398 at 10:17 a.m. today, April 20, 2010.  When I answered no one would speak just hung on the line then hung up.

I got a call from a local number with a local person's name on caller ID. I couldn't get to the phone in time, so it went to VM. The message stated it was ABC Dist. and left an order number to reference when I called back. I'm suspicious because 1) my phone showed it was a local person, and 2) I don't have any outstanding orders with this company -- if it's for an order long ago, it surely would have been canceled by now. But it makes no sense why they called "in secret," and apparently "forged" another number's ID. I believe it's some type of scam.

They could be calling from a Skype number to make it look like they are local. We've been getting the same thing about "an account we have with them", even though we have no account. Do not give them your info, this sounds like a scam. At my old job we got a lot of calls like this. They would ask you a few questions about your address to "verify" & what they end up doing is recording you, then they alter what you said in to some other message saying you verified your billing address and that yes you are ordering something, then send you an invoice saying that you ordered something for them and to pay up because they have you on tape.
 Of course it wouldn't hold up in court, but they will try to make a buck on you!
