been receiving phone calls from this unfamiliar number but leaves no message at all. i want to know who this is for safety purposes.

State Attorneys Office. I think the 847 number is just for display purposes as the Investigator was actually in Chicago

received calls and my caller id reads 847-470-2508 woman stating she is reaching out to everybody with my full name that might have a visa card because this person with the same name is trying to open up credit
i called that number and it is to the cook county 2nd district court in Skokie, Il.    They new nothing about this and could not help at all.  I of course did not give out any information.  Has anybody experienced this?

Cook County randomizes its outgoing calls. You may have received a call from another person who works at Cook County but it does not show the correct number or area code that they called from. For example if I called you from 847 it may show up on your caller ID as a 708 area code.

Calls and the phone ring only once.  It calls again and i pick up and no one answers. When I call back, it says that it is from the Cook County Court House.

Just a comment.  When you receive a call and the number that shows is not from the actual originating number of the caller, it is called "spoofing".  If you received a call that led you to the Cook County Skokie Court House when you returned it, the call most likely originated from somewhere (not necessarily in Skokie) in the County unless a scammer was able to "pirate" a County number/s for their use. If the caller was from Cook County itself, they would most likely leave a message with their legitimate number for returning the call and that is the number you should use, not the one that appears on your caller ID.

Received a call around 5am no message was left. Not the first time the  number calls each time no message. Calls are also at random times this is the first that is not around business hours.

Claiming from cook county court office in Skokie IL abouts some records that I don't know of  1st calling

got a phone call from this number and a similar one this week about back taxes, i know i don;t owe and I was going to jail. asked her to send it in writing and she got mad and yelled about jail then hu. got a call today from this number saying it was in skokie and an indian woman answered and tried to 'transfer' me to the correct line because she doesn't take incoming calls, also no voicemail. scamliscious
