Its an International phone number. DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE.

I received call about 9:30 A.M  Did not answer, got on  the net to see what the caller wanted. If they don't leave me a message I don't answer. Good habit to get into.  Wish we could stop all the dumb calls we receive.  I do appreciate that I can get on the net and get some answers about who is calling.  I am thankfull for that.  Thanks to all who input this info.

They have called me 17 times today already--and I mean 17 times---geting sick of them---I am on the do not call list--guess that is worthless-

It was a robo call asking:Are you on Medicare and have Diabetes or Back Pain? I waited til some foriegn guy answered. I told him I'm diabetic, he asked how many times I test my blood. I told him as needed, then he hung up on me..........

They called about an hour ago while I was on another call. Left no message. I never answer numbers I don't recognize, but get extremely annoyed at their constant ringing of my phone.

Just beginning to get calls .. hang up when get message, but it gives a dial tone for about 5-8 seconds, loudly. How do they get private #s, esp unlisted, just robo-calling? How do we stop them, esp if they are international??

This was my first scam call from an international phone #.  Caller ID said Dominican Republic call.

I don't answer blocked ID's and unknown callers any more.  No message was left.
I don't trust answering a call from an international phone # or oddball 8xx number.  I fear being charged fees for that kind of call. I also don't answer any call that MIGHT be a scam any more.  

I DO report all these jerks, however, in hopes that investigators will eventually find and prosecute them.

Agree with Rich. Scammer asking about your MediCare.  You press 2 to be removed from their list, and then they put a person on the phone, and then you ask NICELY to be removed and they just hang up. They're calling my home office line.

Called my work 3 times today.  Third time I waited until they said I could press 2 to be removed from the list.  I pressed 2, they put me on hold for a couple seconds, then a man came on the line.  I asked to please be removed from their list and he hung up on me.

We are on a do not call list.  5 calls in 3 hours......will call and report on the do not call list if this isn't stopped Dominican Republic

Called twice yesterday at 9:45am and 3:09pm. Didn't leave a message.

I get calls frequently from Medicare scammers, but this is my first one from outside the good ol' USA!!  I didn't answer, since I know no one in the Dominican Republic!!  All calls friom area code 849 are from the Dominican Republic, & according to previous posts on this website, as well as snopes.com, may be subject to charges amounting to HUNDREDS of dollars, even though you never initiated the call, or asked for information from the callers!! ADVICE TO ANYONE IS TO BE WARY OF INTERNATIONAL CALLERS THAT DON'T PUT THEIR NAME ON CALLER ID.
