First time we've received a call from this number.  Must be a new scam phone number. Did not answer & of course no message was left.

Further searching shows the 849 area code is from the Dominican Republic.  It is an overlay for their 809 area code.  Suggest no one answer calls from this number or area code.

Got a call from this number at 9:15 AM today, 3/25/13.  Rang three times did not wait for my machine to pick up.  Caller ID  Name Not Found.  Thanks for the info.  Manny

Did not answer as was a strange area code.

got this call around 6:20 p.m. on Monday, Mar. 25 on my land phone.  Who is calling me from this #?  I do not pick it up, thinking it's probably a scam...

Rang three times hung up.  I do not answer numbers I don't know period.

Why can't you find the # that I submitted?

This "fishy" number just called, rang three times, long enough to trigger my answering machine and left no message.  BLOCK IT!

says "NAME NOT FOUND" on the caller ID

got a call this morning - of course they leave no message.just don't answer it. obviously people have nothing else to do but actually making a real living. they all should do jail time. DON"T ANSWER THEM!!!!

I got a call at 7 9:35 am EST, rung three time and stop. Why do we received these call?

stupid number keeps calling and leaves their robo message halfway through since our machine has answered.  We are registered do not call.

I got a call @ 9:21AM on 3/25 on my home phone. No msg left, & I wasn't home.

I heard about this SCAM a couple of years ago, when someone on this site said they were charged by their long distance provider for a charge of $50.00 a MINUTE, for 10 MINUTES!! Since the call was made by the person in the US to the Dominican Republic, there was NOTHING the US phone company could do!! SO DO NOT TRY TO CALL THEM BACK TO INQUIRE WHAT THEY WANTED!!  IT WILL COST YOU!!  THEY WILL KEEP YOU ON THE PHONE AS LONG AS THEY CAN, TAKING YOUR $$$!!

They said in their voice mail msg Are U a senior with diabetes? If yes, press 1......

Unless you are willing to file a complaint to the FCC like I just did, you are wasting your time on this site. If they get enough complaints about the same number they are more likely to be able to do something about the calls. The caller told me when I pressed 2 they don't go by the do not call rules and hung up on me.

I got a call this morning from this number caller ID  said name unknown did not answer it my phone connected to my Fax machine so call goes into fax if I don't pick up in 3 rings hope that discourages them

Got the call this morning.  Woke me up, so I didn't think before I answered it.  "This is an urgent message from Medicare.  If you suffer from diabetes or back pain....." I was half asleep but the first line got my attention.  I think they said "we can help".  At which point I realized it was a scam and hung up.  I know good and well Medicare isn't cold calling like that!

Just received 5 calls from the number within one evening; something to do with diabetes, but apparently, it is a scam seeking your medicare information.
