I dialed the number ...was told to press 1....caller only wanted "one" of my credit card numbers and I would get lower interest rates on all my  credit cards. I hung up without further comment.

I wasn't here to take the call, but after searching for this number I'm glad I wasn't.

Same deal, Press 1 for lower credit card rates. SCAM - NEVER GIVE OUT CREDIT CARD NUMBERS ON THE PHONE, EMAIL, ANYWHERE!

These scumbags have changed their tactics.
When I tried to phone the number and find out who is harassing me, I got this recorded message:
"We're sorry - you have reached a number that has been disconnected or is no longer in service
If you feel you have reached this recording in error, please check the number and try your call again..
For directory assistance you may dial 411 or your directory assistance provider."
If anybody remembers the name of the company, please let me know (so I can track them down and phone them at their homes ...)

I'm so sick of these people! I run a small business and it's tough taking care of customers in the shop as well as those who call. I waste so much time answering this kind of call. I just got a call from this number and didn't get to the phone in time to answer. I'm glad I Googled it before calling back.

Call asking if I wanted lower rates on my credit card.  I hesitated about participating but was curious.  Asked if I pay off my credit card in full.  I said yes, she wanted to know what my most recent balance was.  I said 2400 and she hung up.  Don't know if someone has my number and was checking, whether they had the right person or if my total wasn't high enough to bother with me.

Just received a call here in Mississauga, ON from this number on my fax line.  Checked here, and then tried to call it back.  Got a phone company intercept that it has been disconnected, so someone is spoofing caller id.

This is not the first time this number has called.  I have begun tracing nuisance calls.  This one I hang up about three sentences in.  I know that the caller has no credit card information on me and that my credit card interest rate cannot be lowered since it is 0% right now.  This caller is careful to soothe fears so you will listen and not think of reporting the call immediately.  No one should give credit card information to an incoming caller.  If you phone out to a reliable company you are quite safe, but no incoming caller no matter who they say they are should be given credit card info.  I ask each charity caller to send a written request in the mail.  Many refuse.

I received the call yesterday May 6th. But, I was nextdoor and the answering machine had picked up the call. It just a recording (something about pushing 1). I thought about calling it back today. But, I figured I would look it up on here first to see what it might have been and now I came across this site.

It is a scam.

This is a scam and I do not pick up on any number that I do not know.
Do Not give out any personal information to someone that calls you.

Definitely sounds like a phishing scheme.  I never pick up the phone from out of the area calls, unless I actually know who is calling.  I don't pick up on unknowns, 800#s, 866#s, etc.  I do, however, like to google the numbers and see who called.  Amazing to me is how many scams are out there.

I just got this call also. I didn't answer it and they didn't leave a message. I also own a small biz (local only) and the caller ID for this number came up Pensacola FL.  They seem to be "culling" some numbers from biz listings. Truly a pain.

Just received this call on my CELL PHONE!  How did they get this number?  I really don't like scammers like this, and I could see somebody falling for it.  They wanted me to do a conference call with my credit card company and "verify" that I had an account in good standing. Wanted me to look up the 800# from the back of my credit card.  Somebody is going to get scammed.

Me too.  just got it.  Will slice and dice the fool who does this again.

This is quite insane. I just tried pressing 1 to talk to someone (anyone) which is usually what I do with these recorded things...to get an actual (semi)human on the phone and tell them to take my damn number off their list or I'm calling the BBB and then the police--but they seem to hang up first...next time I'm going to try to string them along long enough to grab their company name--THEN they're going to be sorry...

I just recieved a call from the same number so I decided to google it just to see if it was someone I wanted to call back and I got this site thank you so much because I would have loved to lower my interest rates if they had asked its really sad that you have such loosers out there that has to steal other peoples hard earned money and credit get a life and this day in time of your caught your going to JAIL
