Received a call from MicroTech Support at 855-210-3300, saying that Microsoft notified them that my computer had been compromised by virus. I knew he was up to no good and so asked his name and phone to call back. He gave me these: Name Demvill Daniels, Phone: 239-247-5552 call back number. Where can we report these Indians so that they will not cause any harm to many ignorant people.

Scum of the earth. They will say they are trying to help you repair your computer and then ... I don't know. I played along for awhile and then hung up. Whoever you are I know your mother is very proud.

Man calling with Indian accent, telling me I have computer virus and problems with my computer ~ Wanted me to call them back ~ Sounds much like a scam ~ I doubt I have any problems going on ~ My Norton says everything is fine. I hate people imposing themselves on me and others uninvited.

Yes, I received the same call saying they were from MicroTech Support at 855-210-3300, that Microsoft notified them that my computer had been compromised by virus. It was easy to tell he was reading from a script. I hung up.

Micro Tech Support scamming saying in Indian accent that a scan card in computer has notified that computer has been compromised. Argued with this piece of scum that this was a scam that was on the news and that tech support people do not ever make random calls about computer virus'.  He said fine file a complaint with the NSA. I will do one step further and file a complaint with the FCC and with the state consumer affairs office.  What a fricking scam artist.

I just got a call from 8552013300 from someone with an Indian accent telling me my computer has been infected and was identified and flagged by Microsoft for help. After asking him which one of my four computers was infected he proceeded to tell me they were all compromised. Then I thought I would play with him for a while and played dumb. First asking about which site(s) were the source(s) of my problem, what about my anti-virus protection, which AV was vulnerable; then what about my firewall; and then what about my sandbox; and how I could better protect my computers in the future. Then I asked him what company he represented again and again, telling him I've never heard about MicroTech and know a lot of former and current Microsoft employees. Anyway, after about 15 minutes of my ignorance and stupidity, he finally said if I did not want his help he will go to someone else, and even hung up on me when I asked him for a phone number so I could call him if and when the problem materializes. I think he got pretty frustrated. Oh well, it was kinda fun.

I received ANOTHER call from the number 855-210-3300, an Indian accented man whose name was "Brian" said my computer was sending error messages to the Microsoft support computer.  I played along this time as I have fussed at the previous 100 or so calls from this same number before hanging up.  He asked if I had received "error messages" from my computer, which I have not.  He asked if my system had slowed significantly in the past two or three weeks to which I answered no because it has not.  He told me that was ok he wanted to help me remove the problems anyway and asked if my computer was nearby.  I answered yes and he asked me to bring it up, I then asked him if this would involve his "taking over my computer' for any length of time.  He answered that "it would but just for a few minutes".  I told him, "like I'm that stupid", and hung up.  I get these calls a minimum of 3 times a week with as many as 7 times, it has been going on for MONTHS.  I am sick of it!

I too received a call from 855-201-3300, Same Indian scam artist MO. He said he was a Microsoft subcontractor trying to help me rid my computer of a virus. He wanted me to run some commands on my computer and then download a fix, I just listened and yes him around for a while. I knew Microsoft does not make phone calls like this. So I asked him to E-mail me, he couldn't because he does not have my E-mail address. This was a big Red Flag, because My Microsoft Account does have my E-mail address. He offered me to call him back on phone number 855-335-7469. I hung up on him and he call back from 855-201-3300 and said we were disconnected. Duh, Yah Think! At that point I got tired of playing games, and told him that I was sure he was a very bad scammer. He pleaded with me that his scam was lag-it and wanted desperately for me to take down my firewall and download some BS software.  I was insulted that this Indian scammer thought I was really that stupid and hung up on him.  Note: This scam could work on the naïve or the elderly.

Same as above .... He mumbled a name but no name on caller ID. Microsoft error reported. Called from a female about the same issue from another number a couple of days ago. Told him I knew this was a scam. Requested to be removed from their calling list. Will report the number to FCC. Hung up on him. The only company I would let remotely log in is my provider and that would be after I called them with an issue.

Same old Microsoft Virus stuff. They ask for my wife, and I ask why, then they say are you Ed? (They have harvested my name & address from somewhere.) I tell them I'm running LINUX. They say "Sorry" and hang up.  This just interrupts my work!

    what a scam
Just got the same call.  Just have to remember that Microsoft does not have your phone number that these creeps claim they were given to "help you".  They will guide you into giving them info to get into your computer, then steal all your vital and secure data.

Have received many phone calls recently from 855-210-3300 from a guy calling himself Andrew. Says he is from ITech. He says he is calling about my windows programs.  He says I have a virus and he needs me to let him log onto my computer so  he can "fix" it.  I asked if he works for Microsoft?  He had way too much information including my IP address and physical address.   Be sure to ask them what "your" IP address is. They knew the IP address to my router.  Pretty scary  -  Danger, Danger...
