I keep getting calls from this number and they wont give me any information.  I tried to look up the number online to see what company this is and got a buch of reports saying this is scam line.  I dont know but I should not have anything wrong with my credit or someone trying to sew me so I dont know.

I am getting calls from an unknown number telling me that they are from a litigation department but then tells me to call 855-237-0850. They reference a case number but they don't offer any details. I'm thinking it fishing about some past bad debt that is out of sol.

Calls violated 7 state collection laws when they contacted me. I contacted an attorney. They buy old discharged debt and pursue it on their own. They are a collection company and not an attorney's office. Complain about them at https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/   I'm providing the company info below...bwt, the cell number works.

This is unbelievable, if all these losers put half the effort in paying their bills as they do crying like babies and placing blame they would have perfect credit...Pathetic..This is whats wrong with America.

I got a call at work for this number, and I don't think it is idiotic at all to wonder if you are getting a call from a legitimate company.  I have had my identity stolen twice and when someone who calls my place of employment and threatens to serve me papers for a debt I don't know that I have I most certainly am going to do some research on that company, which is what is wrong with America.  Too many people trying to take advantage of people who work hard to pay their bills and maybe did make some credit mistakes in the past and have tried to rebuild and make things better.  So mister deadbeateater I suggest you check into things yourself and stop thinking people who research and pay real debts are pathetic when it is you whom should be looking in the mirror and saying why am I that way.

They call me every day non stop about a small $400 debt that is over 7 years old, claiming to be from the prosecutor's office.  These [***] even went as far as to threaten my relatives that they would have their property seized because they were associated with me!  I am currently pursuing suit against Eastern Capital Group, so hopefully this puts an end to it.  Unfortunately, there are plenty of other companies out there who use these same illegal collection tactics.

I've gotten several calls from "Mr. Carter." SCAM!

These people called and stated that I had a pending case filed against me and demanded that I make payment to them. I didn't kow any better so I set up payments. I am now going to stop payment to my bank.

IF YOU LEGALLY OWE THE BILL, WHY DIDN'T YOU PAY IT WHEN THE ORIGINAL CREDITOR ASKED YOU PAY. THERE IS NO SCAM, YOU ARE A DEBTOR AND YOU LEGALLY OWE THE MONEY. WHAT DID YOU THINK YOU COULD CHARGE ALL THIS MONEY ON YOUR CREDIT AND NEVER HAVE TO PAY? GROW UP BECOME AN ADULT AND PAY YOUR BILLS LIKE EVERYONE ELSE DOES AND YOU WONT HAVE TO DEAL WITH THESE PROBLEMS

fair enough but they have to provide written proof the that the debt  is legitimate.If you are willing to give
your checking account number to a total stranger on the phone. Then you are the one that needs alot
of help. Not only do you need to grow up you need to to smarten up, And it appears you dont
have to many smarts, however I admire your ethic to want to pay your bills. Unfortunately,
thats what these telephone sociopaths prey on
