The TELEMARKETERS on the the other end of these calls claim they "only want you to distribute cards for education purposes" for them.  HOWEVER, the 'cards' they want you to distribute also come with ENVELOPES to solicit FUNDS.  So, this IS a FUNDRAISING effort.  They want you to (1) DISTRIBUTE these to your 'friends and neighbors' to GUILT THEM (by association with you) into contributing - because the 'friends and neighbors' will know YOU know whether or not they 'gave' AND (2) they expect YOU TO COLLECT from these people (turning YOU into a COLLECTION AGENCY/BILL/TAX COLLECTOR) and then PAY to MAIL all of it back to them.

The address is NOT a legit address for any KNOWN Charity.  The 'donations' ALL GET MAILED DIRECTLY TO THE TELEMARKETER that then KEEPS 85% to 100%!! of what you THINK you are giving to a 'charity.'

This SAME SCAM was perpetrated for YEARS in my neighborhood until I researched the NAME of the so-called 'charity' and found out it was BOGUS.  It was called "American Cancer Fund" or something similar that claimed its mission was 'Education"  (sound familiar to THIS current SCAM??)  NO CONNECTION with a "legit" charity with SIMILAR SOUNDING NAMES, and its "EXPENSES" OUTWEIGHED its CONTRIBUTION to the 'cause' it claimed to champion.  What we were doing was helping to ENRICH some EVIL SCUMBAG!!!  When I pointed that out to my neighbors, they all STOPPED being DUPED by this SCAM and I've only been 'solicited' once more in the last ten years by any uninformed neighbor (and then I gently enlighten them, as well.)

This is a SCAM, SCAM, SCAM, folks, and yes, they are calling ME relentlessly, too, this month.  Today, SUNDAY, March 17th, 2013 was the TENTH call in 17 days from these THIEVES.  I pick up/hang up without answering when I'm able; but they keep 'hounding' us, regardless.

We get calls from this number every week it seems and I'm sure from the other numbers listed above by Been There.  No message is ever left.  I don't answer calls from numbers I don't know nor call them back.  Comes up as Toll Free.

It's the American Diabetes Foundation.  If you call back they will remove your number from their list.

I agree with Been There about this scam.  About two months ago we received a card in the mail addressed to resident to call and help them (supposedly American Diabetes Association) spread the word by passing out cards for education.  I threw it out as I was certain that it was NOT from the ADA.  I have received calls from two of the other numbers Been There listed.  I'm sure these scammers will continue to use as many numbers as possible as people begin to block them.  Just whatever you do...do NOT answer.  Do NOT.
They are the most vile of scum.

I keep getting a call from the number 855-246-5095 about once a day at approximately the same time of day.  They do not leave a message and I do not recognize the number.  Who's number is it????
